Dirt 2 is an excellent Rally Racer. The graphics are extremely good yet do not require a massively expensive system to run. There is a very large choice of cars, with many customization options. There are also several modes, such as pure rally or races. There is online interaction, so it's not particularly appropriate for younger children, but teens should be able to deal with it. The soundtrack is quite good, but it does contain a little swearing. My main concern with the game is that the interface is very OTT, i.e. it's an overly complex and time consuming business simply getting into a race. I would recommend it, but the sequel Dirt 3 is coming out very, very soon and it has a lot more features and rally content, so I'd wait for that.
