Endless Ocean 2: Blue World is a sequel to the original Endless Ocean, which may be the best education game ever made for the wii. You may think that considering the success of the original, the makers of the game would keep the same formula as the first game, just with slightly different environments and characters. Suprisingly enough though, they revamped a bit too much and left us with a not quite as good experience, but its still a stellar game that is probably worth the money. In Endless Ocean 2, all of the characters and such from the first game are gone. You are now part of L&L Diving Company, which is a grandfather-granddaughter diving company that has been operating for years, and they are intrigued and interested in the myth of the "song of the dragons". The simplistic controls and easy gameplay are still here. Kids will not have difficulties with the controls, its practically the same. But the feel of the game is different, and that may be a bad thing. In the original, they let you explore to your hearts content and go wherever you wanted. But in this game you can only go to the places that involve the plot. You DO have to complete the plot in this game, unlike the first. An issue with this game that did not come up in the first game was that it was actually dissorienting due to a poor camera. Once, it caused me a minor headache and I had to pause and look away for a moment. The game itself looks gorgeous, but the camera has a mind of its own. The story mode is plenty of fun to play through. However they hold your hand the entire way, and it goes by very quickly, and i was a bit dissapointed in the length of the game. However the game has more bang for your buck than the original, as there is more replay value to be found here. Going back to areas you have dived in before and getting more points for exploring more and finding new creatures. Overall, despite not being quite as masterful as its prequel, Endless Ocean 2: Blue World is worth the money.
