What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this kid-friendly rhythm action game, like the TV show on which it's based, is squeaky clean. This first ever Hannah Montana PSP game can be purchased separately for $40 or as part of a Hannah Montana pack that includes a lilac-colored PSP system, three episodes of Hannah Montana on UMD, a 2GB memory stick, and stickers for $199.99.

  • Hannah and her friends stick together and do their best to put on a good show.
  • Hannah sings non-threatening pop, and her friends and family all support her.
  • The game is simple to learn and play, and very forgiving of mistakes.
  • Not applicable.

What's it about?

HANNAH MONTANA: ROCK OUT THE SHOW is a PSP game based on the Disney TV show starring Miley Cyrus as pop star Hannah Montana.  When her manager gets sick, Hannah must oversee her own tour with the help of best friend Lilly and brother Jackson. In the story mode, players travel to seven locations including Nashville, Venice, and Mumbai, and perform 11 Hannah Montana songs (including three tunes from the Hannah Montana 3 soundtrack) by tapping various buttons in time to the music. Players must also design the stage and choose outfits for the performers. In a second Quick Play mode, players can play any of the songs they've unlocked.

Is it any good?

The between-song banter between the show's three stars – complete with voice-overs -- mimics the TV show right down to the studio audience laugh track in the background. The gameplay itself, however, is simplistic and not terribly challenging, which makes ROCK OUT THE SHOW an easy game to recommend for young Hannah Montana fans, but one that likely isn't going to appeal to players outside of that group.

What families can talk about

  • Families can talk about why Miley Stewart pretends to be an average teenager and conceals her pop-star identity (Hannah Montana) from most people. Do you think it would be fun to have a secret identity?

  • Have you ever had to fly on an airplane alone? What are some safety guidelines that kids should know if they have to travel by themselves?

  • Do you think it would be scary or fun to travel without a grownup?

Wha??? No title, read review.
I am crazy. Be ready. I just luv this website and my dear fan Annabeth Chase (VISIT HER!!!) OK SO I am the hyrulean HEROINE OF TIME WHO IS currently in the world of super mario galaxy 2. Oh yeah? This is not to offend fans!!! Sorry, but you're pretty OK!! It's the GAME that sucks, not YOU!!! So every epic video game of time like let's say kirby, super mario, zelda, final fantasy, and other like that SHOULD BE WHAT PEOPLE SHOULD BE PLAYING NOWDAYS!!! This teaches you to be a weird and stupid girly girl eating calorie free lunches at the girly cheerleader table!!! Well, well!!! NAVI COULD KICK HANNAH'S BUTT AND OMG, she's just a floating circle. Type in ancient hero and listen to the one where it shows the pic of ZELDA. Link is so much better than Hannah and she couldn't last a DAY in AWESOME HYRULE!!! Currently, i am a demigod hyrulean princess heroine of time who kicked kronos butt and now is kicking ganondorf butt!!! DIE DIE DIE!!! So to finish off, every video game that's epic and non girly> sports game > twilight> this ugly THING. No, not hannah. I mean the game itself. Hannah is OK, she just can't kick butt and the triforce will simply not give her power. Camp half blood is better and would reject her. Super mario galaxy she would fall off the planet in a sec. I will finish kicking ganon butt in twilight princess (Midna is awesomeeeee) and i will PLAY THE SONG OF STORMS (Be afraid, girly girls, be very afraid. My totally awesome ocarina will make rain fall on your hair and un-curl it. The glitter will simply wash off.) And girly girl GAMES will be OVER!!! They're trying to brainwash us, innocent people!!! Let's all be DEMIGOD HEROINES OF TIME LIKE ME!!! Woohooo!!!! Hylian demigod mario BYE!
