not something I suggest for kids let them stay with halo, this is a grown-up's game
this is a very violent but entertaining game with great online I play this a lot but the fact is it's very graphical for children some of the best graphics in the ps3 unless your kid knows the difference between what's fake and whats real.
Killzone 2 was a very fun game. Any one that likes shooting games will love this. However, Commonsense overreacted to the violence in this game. Yes, there is blood, but the decapitations are hardly visible, because the heads of the bad guys just disapear. The heads don't fly off or anything. It's a good games and most tweens and teens can handle it.
Very violent, bloody, overall adult game. There is also a lot of language. But I think that if you're mature enough to handle this, you can play it, and you will greatly enjoy it. It has one of the best multiplayers I've ever seen.
To be clear to any complaining about the violence, you have no right to. There is a reason there is a big fat M stamped on this game. It is a very violent game with mature language but it also a very good one. Excellent tactical multiplayer and single player with some of the best graphics ever in a game, second only to crysis and maybe uncharted 2. If you can handle strong language and an almost GeoW2 level of gore this is an excellent choice.
Killzone 2 is a ps3 and a very mature version of halo. Its even scary in a way. As you can see from the cover. You aren't smelling flowers and planting them. You are planting heads. There is decapitation and an over the top amount of blood. I wouldn't say gory, But bloody. There is more blood than Call of duty MW2. But this has extreme stuff. The language is really bad, F words every ten seconds, Its too mature for anyone young. Overall its just mature, Not for kids.
I don't normally complain about violence on games, But this is very violent. Shoot someone and blood flies everywhere. Every angle. The language is massive and frequent. Decapitation is hard to do unless its a shotgun close range headshot. The controls are very hard to get the hang of. Not the same as all shooters. Online play as well.
In almost all cutscenes you will constantly hear the f word, b word and more. One soldier commits suicide and you spit on his dead body. blood is at a max. if u play only online and turn player voices off it should be appropriate for 11 year old.
P.S. you can turn all voices off but it ruins the game.
The Game Just Rocks Who cares about the blood and do you think your little 8 year old doesnt hear the F word being shouted at school. If you do your completely oblivious. So go ahead shelter your kids but as soon as they go to school that goes right out the window
An excellent shooter, but for matute players only.
The game is lots of fun to play, and the shooting is great, and of course, it looks amazing. But this is a very violent game; tons of blood is shown in great detail when shooting enemies, and some gets on the screen, there is an onscreen suicide, and there's strong language throughout. If you own a PS3 and you're at least around 17, then you should buy Killzone 2.
I own this game and have to say it's pretty good but, I have three problems with this game one, the language is not good at all, it's not like they swear all the time in the game but in the cut scenes it kindof gets heavy. Two, the violense gets pretty bad up close, like if you shoot someone at point blank yiou can see lot's of blood, or if you shoot someone with a mounted machien gun wich then the bad guys get decapitated. And three the name of the game Killzone 2 sounds really bad and gives people the worng idea about the game like there is no moral to the game all you do is kill kill kill, and yes you kill alot in the game but there is a moral to the game, the game is pretty mutch like a hard core Halo, and that's pretty mutch it. : )
Overall it's an AWSOME GAME!!! get it. :-)
i really like this game cause the single player rocks and the multiplayer is really good 2. the single player mode says the f word a lot and is very violent. multiplayer u dont really have 2 worry about language cause its so frantic no one even listens to the people with headsets. the whole game is super fun though
terrible game! online sucks and extremely laggy! is very high, controls are junky, graphics are nothing new. every other word is "f****" i played it for 2 hrs thats it. save you money buy a good game.
Look, this is one I will not review, simply because it doesn't need it. There is a reason that there is a big T stamped on the front of this game. RECOMMENDED FOR TEENS 17 AND OLDER! Folks, do not, and I mean DO NOT, take the advice of another person, you have to choose what is appropriate for your kids. When your kid asks you to buy them a game, ask the person at the store (or go to esrb*) to let you see the game, turn it over, and look at the M on the back where it lists everything in this game. That is there job, and they are payed to do it, they don't just skip around, remember, the ESRB is the game version of the same ratings you see on movies and TV shows.
