Why We Rated This on for Ages 7 and Up

The good stuff

  • Educational value:

    Not an issue.
  • Messages:

The band members talk a lot about how easy it will be for them to rock out successfully even at the most unlikely of Naked Brothers Band venues, such as an off-shore oil rig just outside New Orleans. They're either cocky or confident, depending on your point of view.

What to watch out for

  • Violence & scariness :

    Not an issue.
  • Language:

    Not an issue.
  • Consumerism:

The game feels rather like an advertisement for the Naked Brothers Band television show and music. Players also see the Nickelodeon logo.

What Parents Need to Know

About The Naked Brothers Band: The Video Game

Parents need to know that this game feels like a promotional tool for The Naked Brothers Band television show and music. It could make impressionable kids want to watch the Naked Brothers Band TV show and movies, as well as purchase Naked Brothers Band CDs and merchandise. That said, if your kids are interested enough in the game that they want to play it, then they probably desire these things already. Aside from the commercialism, there's little about the game that warrants wariness. The lyrics are squeaky clean, as is the bare bones story in tour mode.

This stuff only mocks rock band

Its not enough that they have music cds, movies, the tv show, clothing, and other merchandise, but now they get a video game to support the commercialism. This game for every system out now is nothing but a b-version of rock band. It doesnt even come with guitar controllers and mics and drum periphrials like rock band. I dont own this but know it would be a complete waste of time and money. My advice; forget this junk and buy rock band or guitar hero because they are better than this video game.

My dad thought that dark brown, long hair dood was a girl. But I think Alex's & Nat's babysitter is cool.kind of I Sorda think th Naked Brothers Band is dumb. By the way, The Naked brothers Band is a ugly name for a famous band.
