    Long Live Super Smash Brothers!

I love this game. I play it every once and while, but it's definitely worth buying. That doesn't mean anything. The violence is pretty high. Characters can shoot guns, punch, kick, and even hit people with bats, bombs, and numerous other things. It also has a lottery in it, but otherwise I would say it should be changed to E10 or stay the same.

how on earth can this be T?? this should be e. there is just some really mild and light cartoony violece that even 2 year olds see.

    seriously

this game is really fun. but not something that small children should see or watch because they might copy any of the actions that some characters might do

    AWESOME GAME FOR ALL AGES!!!

Once again, CSM is overrating everything. How on earth did this get a teen rating? It is one of my all-time FAVORITE games. Challenging and exciting for ALL ages. I give this game 5 stars and encourage parents to buy this game for their kids if they want their money's worth.

A fighting game that is extremly popular.

This game has quite a bit of commercialism and fighting but nothing too intense. A lot of kids will be intrested in this highly addictive game.

    The best multiplayer game ever.

I've been playing this game since it came out in 2001, and I am yet to get bored with it. Because of the huge number of people who play it, the gameplay is always changing and evolving. Given the wide array of characters, items, attacks, and stages, someone will always try something you've never seen or thought of before. I've never understood why it was rated Teen; the main focus is on fighting, but the actual fighting is bloodless and involves knocking your opponent off the stage, rather than damaging him until he dies. If you can hold the controller without taking a break to suck your thumb, then you're old enough to play.

    best nintendo crossover for kids

i have been a fan of mario since i was born and he and more nintendo characters are in super smash bros. super smash bros. brawl was my first taste of smash bros. and it was awsome. i got melee and it is awsome. nothing is wrong with this game. it is a fighting game but no blood was added. as far as i know this is the first fighting game made for kids and nintendo did a good job making it. all ages can play this game so do not let the esrb t rate trick you. one last thing. story mode is cool but only a few cutscenes are in the game and no plot is told.

    Over-rated...the teen rating that is

Super Smash Bros. is a fantastic game. The violence is incredibly cartoony and it's a pulled back view fighting game. It's not bloody at all and there is guns but it's like star wars guns. I recommend this game to all kids.

One of the more modern SSB games.

This is a game that will suck you in until you get boerd. The SSB series includes SSb1 for the Nintendo 64,SSBM (this one) for Game Cube and SSBB for the Wii. The game is baced on Nintendo charactors just going to fight. By fight I mean punches kicks and unreal powers. No blood, gore, just mild fantacy vilonce and cartoon mischif. good game though. For me, this is a E10+ game.

The best brawler on the gamecube

I do not own the game, but have almost played it the entire way through. Three words describe it: Best Brawler EVER. It has almost everything. It has lots of charaters, a not to shabby singleplayer, and awsome multiplayer. Cant wait to see how Brawl turns out :)

    super fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Super Smash Bros Melee is a lot of fun! You can pick characters that you are all familiar with, fight with them, and there is no blood! The new one coming out in March is going to be even better though. It is actually rumored to outsell Harry Potter 7 and be the best video game ever created!

    This is a great game.

Like I already said, this is a great game for most all ages. Anyone can play it. The graphics are good, the fighting id good. It has good all around playing from the fighting to the adventure to the target smashing! The only thing that I did not care about was the rating the ESRB gave it. I don;t think that it should be rated "TEEN" because their is no blood, gore, or anything inappropriate for anyone above ten years. However, I don't think that is should be rated for everyone. I would have liked to see it rated E10. All in all, It is a good game

    A great game

There is going to be a lot of violence in this game, as it is a fighting game, however there is nothing to gory in this that would discourage children from being able to watch it. Although thi9s game condones mischief in some ways, it is still good. Overall, excellent game.

    Pretty cool...

I have to admit I only play it at my friends' houses. It is very violent but there's no blood or anything very graphic like that. There's about a million characters who basically fight each other. Although it is violent, it is addicting. I am not one to usually play violent video games.

    Awesome. Best Gamecube game ever

SSBM is awesome. Period. It would be E10+ by now, because the violence isn't as bad as, say, Soul Calibur II or Tekken. Why the ESRB said that the violence in SSBM was of that caliber is beyond me. Also there is a very minor suggestive theme. If your character is Peach or Zelda and her skirt flips up, then you can see the character's underwear. People who don't know about this won't notice. Other than that, SSBM is a great game. It never gets old, but I sure can't wait for the Wii sequel, Super Smash Brothers Brawl. It looks freaking awesome!

A candidate for best Gamecube game

This game is plain and simple fun and it should have an E10 rating. There is no blood and gore, you will occasionaly get something that looks like confetti flutter down in the area where you hit a guy. To beat a character you have to knock them off the screen, when it happens, there will be a huge white flash from the direction the died. There are many modes, but nothing is like the multiplayer. This is a game that is better the more people that get involved, and there are enough characters so that there is someone for everybody (I favor Roy, a character that has to be unlocked and a 'clone' because his moves are nearly a carbon copy of Marth's expect for a little more power). This is the best game in the series until Brawl comes out, but I'm sad that it is a Wii only title because I will never be able to afford a 'next-gen' system

very violent very fun very old

although this game has been around scince the beggining of the gamecube, i still have fun fight wit hthe characters even though this is an apropriate game for most tweens, I pause it for younger ones, the violince was very high with no blood, i mean when you are hit with the attack these pretend characters throw you would be sure to be seriously hurt! very fun but also unrealistic! i hope to write more reviews to help children and parents in the future! Cj Fuzzytoes-Club Penguin!

    A non stop action ride!

Super Smash bro's Melee is one of my FAVORITE nintendo games all together. It features memorable characters such as mario, luigi, samus, link, zelda, and pikachu ( only few of the wide range of characters). It features special attacks for every character, making each unique. It features non stop action, with wide possibilties like tournaments, team melee, or just wide out WAR between a max of four players.
