amazing game!!!
It's an extremely fun game but it can be annoying at times. If you don't complete your toontask when you beat the cog you need to beat but you don't recover the needed item, it can be really frustrating. It takes a long time to get to an amount of laff points above 55. It took me 2 months of playing about an hour a day to get above 40 laff points. Cogs are fun to beat but the gags you beat them with are hard to get. Going inside cog HQs and cog buildings are very fun and a bit of a challenge.

Too Addictive
My son hasn't been the same since he started playing this game it is addictive and there are bullies on there. I wish i wouldn't have let him buy the year subscription I am canceling and pray we get our money back.

Good luck trying to Cancel!
When my daughter was younger, 9-10 years she enjoyed playing. Now that is she is older, we wanted to cancel because she had not been on in over a year. They make it a nightmare to try and cancel. You cannot cancel on line. I have now made 5 phone calls to them all take 30 minutes or more before a rep even answers! I cannot get charge off my card. The game is fun til you no longer want it, and then you are stuck!

Addictive
Personally I was smitten with Toon Town; I'd find myself humming the theme at work! Over time, however, it's clearly become a source of defiant behavior from my 10 year old son. The community is not a positive social venue for my son. There are sinister-appearing characters, and the violence is considerable despite the seemingly "safe" confines of a Disney product. If allowed, he'd spend hours at the game. When not allowed to play Toon Town, after a disgruntled couple days he no longer argues, he attends to his chores, and his school work benefits. Upon revisiting the game he is argumentative, flippant, and sluggish getting to his studies. We have never witnessed this behavior with other computer or on-line games. I am not trying to propose some subliminal agenda by some software whiz at Disney; they're not trying to possess our children. But the recurrent behaviors around Toon Town have led to our cancelling our subscription.

No problems with this game except for some people being rude with some speedchat phrases and discriminating against toons that might have less experience or not big enough gags or high enough laff points.

My family loves TOONTOWN!
We have been members of Toontown for years. We are homeschoolers and joined when my oldest was almost 8. She was struggling with reading & I was worried about her falling behind. She saw me playing a demo of Toontown & she wanted to play. I let her & I was amazed at how hard she worked to improve her reading skills. She was at the age she didn't want mommy's help all the time. Playing Toontown really helpd boost her reading skills. She is now 11 & all my kids enjoy it. So do I!

Not just for kids!
This game is great for kids, AND adults. Not an intense game, so true "gamers" won't be interested. I'm addicted though, and it's fun to play with my kids. This game sorta tricks kids into learning too - there are elements of math and logic, language (learning to use the canned phrases to convey ideas and intent), and the value of friendships and alliances, and helping each other through difficult tasks. If I had to describe a downside to the game (besides the hefty subscription fee) I'd have to say it's how addicted kids get to it. I certainly have had to limit computer time or my two kids would be on Toontown 24/7!

Fun but also with some issues
My son and I wrote this review together. I pointed out that toons cooperate with each other, but he also mentioned to me about toons being rude or mean online. He has had a lot of fun learning toontown strategies and there is a lot to do in this game. Also, there is not a lot of violence. However, we have had some problems with some of the rude behavior from toon town spilling into our family life, which has been a negative part. A pretty fun online game that kids get hooked on!!! Over all it has brought our family more fun than trouble.

Perfect for tweens
I think this game is too addicting for some people, that's why I quit playing Otherwise I think it's pretty fun. My concerns are that people will abbreviate words (i.e. WTF, WTH etc.) to tell to people. Some people also share their info.

For kids that know about gags.
Toontown is the best game out there! There is no violence, no bad language, and the safety is brilliant! You can now chat freely, but any words that aren't in Disney's Speedchat Plus dictionary, come up as squeak if you're a mouse, bark if you're a dog, meow if you're a cat etc. You use cartoon gags like pies and anvils to defeat humourless cogs! It's great fun, it's endless and unlike Club Penguin, it's fun!

I play this game and I have played it long enough to know that it's appropriate enough for even the youngest kid. You team up to defeat the cogs. And in some missions, you have to rescue non-playable toons.

toontown online: one of the best online games
i have played this game for days now and you know what? it is one of the best online games out so far. i think that anyone who plays this will like it. today kids will play toontown. later the same kids will play world of warcraft. (7 years later) but some kids might not like it. so what do you do? first let your kids (or you if you are a kid like me) try out the demo. if the demo is cool to them buy the full game. easy. i think that the music at the ceo buildings might scare kids under the age of 9 so look out. you can buy cards at best buy target walmart ebay and cvs to get the full version or pay by credit or debit. try it out.

Great game, Great people, fun, Addicting game
Toontown is a very easy game to play. I like the concept of it and I was a member for about 1 year. Truth is you really need to pay the membership if you want to get all the nice gags and continue with the story of the game. Also, this game is VERY ADDICTING!!! I would play almost all day on toontown. So if you set rules with your child and maybe if they are old enough they could chip in for the monthly membership. Also some of the older members in toontown are very nice to newer toons and help them out alot. If you have a slow computer DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME it freezes on me all the time
