Parents need to know that 1500+ Jokes! (Free) is an entertainment app that contains jokes, riddles, and facts on a variety of topics. The categories include: 101 Ways to Be Annoying, Bar Jokes, Crazy Jokes, Insults, PC Jokes, Pirate Jokes, Wild Facts, Animal Jokes, Blonde Jokes, Food Jokes, One-Liners, Pickup Lines, Riddles, and Yo' Mama. The content of the jokes varies from factual to singling out one group of people to insult.

    The app controls are very intuitive, and have a few options for joke navigation. Within each category, jokes can be scrolled through one by one, ahead 10 or back 10, or randomly. There is no search capability.

    Several of the joke categories use name-calling words such as "stupid" and most categories of jokes are generally insulting to at least one group of people.

    After playing with the app once or twice, subsequent usage has revolving ads near the bottom of the screen. Tapping on an ad brings up a screen with more information, or takes users to the iTunes store.

    One of the joke categories is "Bar Jokes," where many of the jokes refer to drinking.

Is it any good?

 

1500+ JOKES! (Free) contains a wide variety of content, from the tame (Riddles) to the interesting (Wild Facts) to the funny (One-Liners) to the insulting (Insults). The functionality of the app is well-done, but the constant ads at the bottom might cause the user to tap them accidentally. While some of the content is interesting or generally funny, there are plenty more jokes that are offensive to groups of people (e.g., people with blond hair, the mentally ill, and a variety of others). Also, in addition to the obvious Insults category, some of the other categories have insulting and tame jokes mixed together.
