What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this amazing balloon-making app has very simple controls. Simply blow into the mic on the iPhone or press the screen on the iTouch to inflate balloon critters. Make sure kids don't spit, though, as that does nothing good for your hardware. An Android version is also available.

    Kids as young as two can be shown how to make their own balloonimal. Unfortunately you can't save balloonimals. You have to tap an onscreen pump icon to add air until it pops. Then the next balloon animal can be made. Repeat as often as you like.

Is it any good?

 

This darling app lets kids make their own extremely realistic 3D balloon animals. Blow into the iPhone's microphone to fill a balloon with air, then shake the phone to construct. Up pops a beautifully rendered T-Rex, dog, crab, snake, unicorn, fish or kangaroo. The tricks the animals perform when petted are just as amazing as their construction - the T-Rex roars and stomps his foot, a joey hops in and out of the mama kangaroo's pouch. Balloon squeak sound effects add to the realism.

SO delightful!
It is so cute and kids love showing it off to their friends. If is so easy for children three and up to use and it delights everyone (even adults!)

WARNING: May Cause Extreme Boredom
This app isn't bad, it's just stupid. I downloaded it once, than immediately deleted it. All you do is blow and tap, blow and tap. What's the point in that?

A Sure Hit for Young Kids
I was skeptical about this one, but after reading several positive reviews I bought it for my kids. They love it - it is simple, fun, and good for a few laughs. The balloons themselves are quite beautiful.
