Disc Pool
Parent and Kid Reviews
Is It Any Good?
DISC POOL's simplicity is one of its greatest assets. Similar to a standard game of pool, you need to use a cue to sink discs (more like air hockey pucks than billiard balls) into corner pockets on the game table. The app lets you play against computer opponents or real opponents via Wi-Fi or through Apple's Game Center. It's a popular multiplayer game, so finding a random opponent is not too difficult. Within seconds, you can be playing against someone -- although you never know what that person's skill level will be. There's a great "puzzle mode" that sets up the pool table with loads of different challenging scenarios for you to conquer in a specific number of turns; it's a great sort of tutorial (although long enough to be a game unto itself) that will help you learn new skills and strategies in case you match up against a veteran player.
