While Glu's ETERNITY WARRIORS won't go down in history as one of the best games for iDevices, it's a charming and free hack-and-slash fantasy action romp with some role-playing game elements. By building up your weapons, armor, and skills, you'll slay thousands of enemies (such as skeletons, minotaurs, and other demonic creatures), absorb their souls, and spend this currency for even more goodies. The locations, which are primarily purple-tinged underground dungeons, also contain other collectibles to seek out -- therefore exploration is also encouraged.

You're in control of a beefy warrior, accompanied by a computer-controlled sidekick, and you'll move about the world using your thumbs on virtual analog sticks and buttons. While the story is lame and action repetitive, ETERNITY WARRIORS is a "freemium" game (you can use real money to buy more gold pieces) that will likely give you a few hours of fun on your favorite Apple gadget.
