Parents need to know that kids at an age where slapstick humor starts to be funny (2 for some, a little later for others) will have an easy time getting into Five Little Monkeys. As soon as you tap on a monkey in this silly game, he falls off the bed. Stars twirl around his head, and the song commences, complete with worried monkey mom holding the phone and finger-waving (wing-waving?) owl doctor.
FIVE LITTLE MONKEYS is an easy diversion for very young ones. They get to choose from three song genres: country, rock, and pop. They also have plenty of other things to tap on: a bouncy ball, an alarm clock, a family photo, and more. A stoplight in the corner sits monkeys down when you hit "stop," and they won't jump again until you tap "go." The highlighted song lyrics aren't completely in sync with the singing, but they go by too fast for kids to get any reading practice out of it anyway. The final cute touch is a monkey's finger tapping the inside of the screen once kids have finished the song. Maybe he wants to come out and play. Just keep his jumping feet away from your kid's bed.
