GO, CLIFFORD, GO! is a basic storybook app that sees Norman Bridwell’s enormous red dog learning about the ways people get around. Each page presents a new kind of vehicle -- boats, balloons, cars, etc. -- along with a few words explaining that Clifford sees it and is watching it go. Parents can choose to have a lively narrator read the story with text highlighted as he speaks to help beginning readers with word recognition. Kids can tilt the iPad left or right to animate the images on screen, making them move slightly. At the end of the book is a very simple game in which kids tilt the iPad to control some of the vehicles seen in the book and make them collect bones. The simplicity and brevity makes the price seem a tad high, but young children are sure to have a fun with it.
