What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this game is based on the classic wooden labyrinth toy. It's completely safe for kids and loads of fun. Tilting makes the ball move but it's going to be too challenging for kids who haven't yet developed good hand eye coordination.

    You can calibrate the app in order to hold the phone at the angle most comfortable for you. Mazes level up in difficulty but almost all have checkpoints so you don't have to start over at the beginning.

Is it any good?

 

This classic game is pure genius on the iPhone. The tilt physics, 3D walls and sound effects are dead-on, making guiding the ball bearing through the maze fun no matter how many times you have to start over. As you level up, obstacles get more creative: fans, magnets, whirling blades, even miniature cannons. Twenty-one different mazes are bundled, and 1,000 more - no exaggeration - can be downloaded for free. You can play against your own best run or others over Wi-fi, and even design your own mazes.
