Parents need to know that Miss Spider's Bedtime Story is a read-along storybook plus a fully animated episode of the TV series Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends. The cartoon is a fun, sweet story about Miss Spider creating a game
that encourages her children to go to bed on time (but stays up too
late herself). The book itself feels a little choppy (the video is better at telling the story), but bonus features including a matching game, jigsaw puzzles, and several coloring pages add value to the app,
The first Miss Spider app was phenomenal, and while this sequel, MISS SPIDER'S BEDTIME STORY, is not quite as good, there is still a lot to enjoy here. Once again, you get a read-along storybook and a fully animated video of the same story. This time the video is an episode from the Miss Spider television series. The book reads like an abridged adaptation of that cartoon plot and is somewhat difficult to follow if you haven't already watched the video. Also, the interactive hot spots in the storybook sometimes require several taps before they work properly. The bonus art and game features are all great; this would be a good app even without the storybook element.
