Parents need to know that This Is My Story (And I'm Sticking To It) is an early learning app that helps kids get the hang of simple sentence structure. Kids get to make their own storybooks by tapping and dragging labeled images (featuring common sight words, like "hat" and "cow") into the blanks of each page. Sentences like, "The ____ played with the ____" can become, "The cat played with the ball." Finished stories can be saved and will be read aloud by the narrator.
Is it any good?
The only thing that would make THIS IS MY STORY (AND I'M STICKING TO IT) better would be a little more variety. The concept is great -- as is its execution. Preschoolers get a kick out of "writing" their own books with simple tap-and-drag controls. And hearing those tales read aloud is even more entertaining. And throughout the entire exercise, those young kids are picking up subtle grammar and spelling lessons. As a just-for-fun bonus, there's a sticker book mode that lets kids create their own scenes. The only danger is in kids getting tired of using the same words and stickers over and over. Perhaps future updates will increase the app's vocabulary.

LOVE this app!!
My 3 1/2 year old LOVES this app. She is able to make up silly stories and save them for me to hear after. She keeps asking to play it and i think the drawings are so sweet. She will do it by herself for 20 minutes and because it is somewhat educational, I feel good about her playing it!
