PINNOCHIO's interactive illustrations have a similar look and feel to Alice for the iPad, with objects that can be dragged or shaken. These interactions are often playful and subtle. For example, the block of wood on Geppetto's work desk giggles if tapped on (this, of course, is the block of wood later turns into the puppet Pinocchio). Later kids can put the puppet together by tapping the correct places on the wood block to make facial features and limbs. Younger kids will need some help making their way through the novel since there's no "Read to Me" setting.
