Tilt to Live
Parent and Kid Reviews
Is It Any Good?
TILT TO LIVE is an extremely addicting game, in the same vein as the classic arcade game Geometry Wars, except that in this case you tilt your device to fly around the screen, avoiding the red dots that appear and start chasing you. Fortunately, you have a way to fight back, through various power-up orbs that also appear around the screen, from simple bombs that explode and eliminate nearby dots to shields that will protect you temporarily. As you earn achievements, you gain additional power-ups. With four included modes and one more available for purchase, Tilt to Live has a high replay value. The controls are extremely simple, but mastering the game is a challenge.
The graphics, music, and sound effects are all top-notch, and there's a good bit of humor in the achievements and their descriptions. Despite all the heavy weaponry, the abstract presentation mitigates the violence.
