The bubble-popping, match-three gameplay of WACKAMONSTA may not be unique, but it's done really well, with very nice simple controls and cute, fun visuals. Swapping among four different game modes is a great way to create variety for yourself, although the game is addicting enough that you may not want to switch modes. While the urgings to buy "extra coins" can be annoying, at least there's no need to ever do so -- this is an app that you can play forever for free if you want. It may take a while for you to save up and buy a new monster, but then again, there's no real need to ever buy a new monster, either. The screen-top ads can also be annoying, but they're generally unobtrusive and don't get in the way of the game. Overall, if you can get past the commercial aspects of the app, WackaMonsta is an immensely enjoyable game.
