What parents need to know

Parents need to know that Wheels of the Bus is an interactive version of the children's classic song brought to life on either the iPhone, the iPod Touch, or iPad. In addition to hearing the song sung in 5 languages, kids can participate in the action by touching the device's screen to make the bus roll along the road, open the doors to the bus, and even make the windshield wipers go "Swish." Parents and kids familiar with the song will delight in the new verses introduced here. There is a separate version for the iPad called Wheels on the Bus HD which takes advantage of the iPad's high definition graphics.

  • Excellent controls. Kids tap or slide their fingers across the surface to make things happen. And they can turn the page by simply touching the arrow at the corner of the page.

Is it any good?

Bright bold graphics of WHEELS ON THE BUS help to draw your little ones into the action of playing with this favorite song. With 8 pages, there are many interactive "hotspots" to explore by touching things on the screen. By tapping or sliding their fingers, kids can make the bus roll, the bus doors open, and the windshield wipers go "swish, swish, swish." This app provides lots of options including lyrics that can be heard in English, Spanish, German, Italian, and French; and music that can be sung or played by a variety of instruments. This adorable app is well worth its cost and is one that kids will want to watch and play with over and over again.

We love it! So far all the Duck Duck Moose apps have been great. My 2 year-old enjoys moving everything around and has learned the songs from the apps.
