What's It About?

WORLD BOOK'S WORLD OF ANIMALS is a multimedia encyclopedia that allows kids to learn about and explore almost 200 animals, both living and extinct, through photos, video, and text. Each animal page contains information including the animal's species, scientific name, weight, length, diet, habitat, predators, conservation status, and more. Kids can compare two animals, browse the animal list, search for a particular animal, or narrow the view by type of animal. A multiple-choice quiz tests kids on what they've learned.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:

Kids say ( 1 ):

Put together by World Book Encyclopedia, World Book's World of Animals is an easy way for kids to learn about animals. The side-by-side comparison of animals gives a graphic look at how potentially unrelated animals stack up. The quiz may be challenging for the very young, but this app has much to offer kids of all ages. Plenty of facts are included for each animal, and the added photos, videos, and sound give a more complete picture to kids who may be unfamiliar with an animal.
