Parents need to know that X Construction is a bridge construction game with realistic physics where players connect girders to build bridges stable enough to carry passenger trains over large valleys. If the bridge is too flimsy it will snap and the train will fall with the sound of screaming. Some players might find this upsetting, but the sound can easily be turned off in the game's settings.
X CONSTRUCTION is a no-frills but fun way to learn about the physics behind bridge construction. When players are done connecting concrete girders using the touch screen, they press the Go button to watch a train go over the bridge to see how the bridge holds up. Girders turn red if they're under stress and can snap, so by watching the simulation players can pinpoint their bridge's weak points and adjust the design with a few quick taps. The game would benefit from more levels (there are 15 in the paid version, plus seven sandbox levels with unlimited girders), and more variety of building materials, but it's still very fun and educational.
