Not your stereotypical chick-flick!
I watched this movie last night with my best friend, and it was great! She'd seen it before, but said she really enjoyed watching it again, and I loved seeing it for the first time. Although it was a chick-flick, it was really great, I think mostly because of the talented actors and the touching way that Adam's character treated Lucy all through the movie! It was an awesome chick-flick with a twist, definitely worth a watching, or two!

cute comedy ruined by crude sexual humor
Gratuitous crude sexual jokes (e.g., guy licks coconuts he's wearing as drag get-up) and swearing totally cancel out a cute story. [Ditsy blond (i.e. no memory) female stereotype is the least of it's problems.) Who is this movie's target audience?

Raunchy, but sweet comedy for teens.
Parents should know that this warm comedy does contain crude references to drugs and sex. Discussion of "wet dreams," vomit, are abundant and there is off-color potty humor. Language is scattered along the film, but messages of love prevail.

Hilarious, but really not that great content-wise
This movie is one of my favorites, and is hilarious. When watching it, my mom cried with laughter! But there are some things you need to know before letting your kids watch it. First of all, there is TONS of sex and sexual references. Second, there is tons of language, that really shouldn't be in a PG-13 movie. And of course, there are product placements for spam ,the beach boys, and Reese's and smoking/drinking. Older, waaaaay more mature kids will enjoy it. When I first saw it, I didn't get half of it so that is the only way I have seen it.

Very origoinal, very sweet and very funny romantic comedy teens and parents will love!
This is a very, very, very good movie! it's sweet, funy, and very origional, but there are some issues: 1. mostly comic violince including bonks on the head. 2. Some strong language including pultiple S--t's, as well as A-s, Boobies, Bas--d, the fingier is flashed twice. 3. Quite a bite of sexual content including implied sex, and many sexual jokes. 4. it is implied that people are on drugs, but none are seen. OVerall this is a fantastic movie for teens and their parents.

Phenomenal!
I love this movie! little kids might not get all of the humor, though. It's kinda sad, but teaches about true love.

Loooved this movie! Some poor judements in directing maybe. But very funny!

Sorta Fun Once, But Not Again.
It seems that all the 12 year old reviewers talk about how tough they are and how they can handle it. Don't be fooled. At 14 I was extremely embarressed by all the sexual jokes. It was hard to enjoy the fun storyline when I was being hit with nastyness from all sides. I don't think any level headed adult should watch it. I only gave it 2 stars because of the clever plot.

Fifty First Dates is one of the best romantic comedies I have seen in a long time. It is kind of inappropriate, mostly in the sexual and language departments, but it was HILARIOUS!! I watched the movie with my six-year-old brother the other day (probably a lapse in judgement on my mom's part) and I noticed he didn't catch most of the sexual jokes anyway, and didn't ask about them later so it is fine to watch it with little kids if you have to. Again, one of the best romantic comedies I have seen in forever!

=)
It is about a girl named Lucy (Drew Barrymoore) who got in a car and lost her memory and thinks every day is the same day. One day she met a man named Henrey (Adam Sandler) who takes a video and she watches it every morning like she's never seen it and she begins to write a diary. Then she has a child and lives on a boat to Alaska and he has a different video. It makes you relize how lucky we are.

50 First Dates
I usually hate Adam Sandler movies: I think they're just a little too goofy, and crude humor has never been my thing. However, I love Drew Barrymore, so I decided to give this movie a try. To my surprise, I actually enjoyed it. Sure, there's quite a bit of gross-out stuff, but in between all of that is a unique, sweet love story. The acting is perfect for the film, and no one's performance is disappointing. I wouldn't say this is my favorite romantic comedy-far from it-but it's very cute and has some genuine laugh out loud moments. There are some really great messages burried in as well. Adam Sandler's character, Henry, starts out an unlikeable jerk who is changed by Lucy, who loses her memory every night. The fact that he goes to such extreme lengths to work things out and fights for true love is what gives this movie its heart. Unfortunately, there is a lot of blatant talk about sex. Like, there is no way it could go over a kid's head. Some language is another issue. There's not tons, but the usual PG-13 words are used. Drugs are another problem. What's with all the drug addicts in this film? Henry's best friend smokes weed several times on-screen (Henry doesn't seem to have a problem with it), and Lucy's brother is a steroid addict. So, if you like romantic comedies, see this movie. It's not the best movie ever, but it's fun for a watch or two. If you hate romantic comedies, avoid this like the plauge.

Surprisingly good.
My rating: PG-13 for language and crude humor including some sexual references. Sex: 3/5 - Nothing overly bad, but a few references and jokes (the strongest and most shocking being something like, "I don't know much about walruses, but I do know they have the second largest p---s of all mammals. [pause] I have the first."). Adam Sandler's character sings a funny but often crude song to Drew Barrymore's character. A man jokingly says his son is doing the "t--ty dance" when he sings and moves his muscles simultaneously. Language: 2.5 - Some, but surprisingly infrequent. Includes mostly "a-s", plus here-and-there uses of "s--t", "t-ts", "p---s", "d--n", "hell". Language:
