What Parents Need to Know

About Anger Management

Parents need to know that this movie is extremely raunchy for a PG-13, with constant jokes about penis size, plus jokes about lesbian porn stars who enjoy three-way sex, a drag queen prostitute, a mentally ill girl, masturbation, premature ejaculation, flatulence, and prison rape. It has comic violence. Characters drink and smoke.

Families Can Talk About

  • Families can talk about some of Dr. Rydell's comments, especially when he says that there are two kinds of anger, explosive and implosive and that sarcasm is anger's ugly cousin. How do the people in your family handle their anger? It might also be interesting to talk about Sandler's attraction or compulsion to explore these themes. It's hard to escape the sense that he is working through some of his own issues with this material.

    My concerns are:
    • Inappropriate sexual content
    • Inappropriate language

I saw it on TV so i didnt get the worst parts

But I could get the general jist of it. I thought it was very funny, though, adn Nicholson did a fairly good job.

Sorry, this isn't an actual review (look at my other one below)

I know thi is somewhat sad but I have to say: THIS IS PATHETIC! HOW ON EARTH WOULD ANYONE CONSIDER GIVING THIS MOVIE AN OSCAR?!?! I asked in a nother review if teens today had lost all taste in movies, and I think my question has been answered (Forknose, I'm looking at you and your other Sandler reviews).

Not as bad as his other movies, but the ending and crappy jokes killed it

Adam Sandler just can't make good movies. With the exception of The Wedding singer and Punch drunk Love, all of Sandler's movies are some of the worst excuses for a movie on earth. How can anyone think they are good? It's insane! Have teens really devolved in taste so much that they would give Waterboy or Billy Madison five freaking stars? I'm sorry, but it is so pathetic.

    Great Movie 11+

This was a great movie. It had had a very important message, to stand up for yourself. I think that it is a movie every kid should watch some day.

    It's Adam Sandler!

Another Adam Sandler movie. His movies are hilarious and not really all that inappropriate. Anger Management is his usual comedy (not like Punch Drunk Love) but the sexual themes make it a bit more suggestive than Big Daddy. Still, I would give it the oscar so easily.

I walked out of the theater with a big smile

It was really great! The ending was even better! I suggest you go see it!

    Can't sandler do any better?

Adam Sandler showed in Punch Drunk Love that he can be a great sincere actor. Here he does the same stupid, disconnected performance that gets him money. Why not be daring and make another good movie? Is he scared? Jim Carrey pulled it off with The Truman Show, Man on the Moon, and the Majestic.
