Disturbing twist on already creepy Bratz dollz.

Why We Rated This iffy for Ages 8–18

What to watch out for

  • Messages:

The four Bratz are loyal to one another, and helpful in ending arguments between two sisters. A bully is very nasty to the Bratz and their dog. One character berates and belittles her sister throughout, and is never chastised.
  • Violence & scariness:

A puppy is kidnapped and treated roughly by an older bully.
  • Sexy stuff:

Sexualized toddlers are a pedophile's dream, with their skimpy clothing, high heels, and suggestive lyrics and dance moves.
  • Language:

    Lots of nasty name-calling.
  • Consumerism:

Since the characters are based on a line of dolls and their spin-off products, it's unavoidable. There is even a Bratz Karaoake machine that ties into the plot.
  • Drinking, drugs, & smoking:

    Not an issue.

What Parents Need to Know

About Bratz Babyz

Parents need to know that it would be difficult to imagine worse role models for the tween girls at which this Bratz franchise is aimed. This DVD takes the Bratz characters -- four superficial teen girls obsessed with makeup, fashion, and shopping -- and shrinks them down to toddler size. Their behavior, appearance, and attitudes remain true to the original Bratz, so the audience is treated to the bizarre sight of toddlers putting on makeup, going to the mall, and wearing mini-skirts and high-heeled boots. The only adults in sight are buffoonish, and a puppy is repeatedly threatened by a bully.

Families Can Talk About

  • Families can talk about why kids might like the Bratz characters, and whether presenting them as toddlers enhances or diminishes that attraction. Is it realistic that the four toddlers and their friends would be left at the mall with so little adult supervision? Are the characters realistic in any way?

    Bratz as babyz??

What on earth is with the sezyual content of clothes? The bratz as kids were good but what is the point being them as babyz? Nita and nora cry too much like a 18 month old evn though their 3-years old. Any 3 or 4 year old should NOT walk around in skimpy clothes like that. Kids will not appreciate this movie. Not even teens. The adults will probably like it though because they just don't understand I mean. My mom likes them. super bratz and save christmas. They were all good.

Bratz babys looked like 2-year olds

The bratz babys looked like 2-year olds. But they are way too young to be so smart.

    disturbing...

Ok, so like babys walking around in high heels and skimpy skirts. Of course makeup. What does their real face look like. The bratz company what are they thinking. At least there are docter barbies and the Kellys don't wear any make up. Come on who likes Bratz babys?
