More sex jokes, cartoon carnage than the TV show.

Why We Rated This iffy for Ages 14–16

What to watch out for

  • Messages:

A lot of antisocial behavior, such as stealing, killing, threatening, and jealousy.
  • Violence:

Considerable cartoonish violence. The bodies of executives are ground up and used for a variety of purposes. Hermes' head gets cut off several times and occasionally sewn back on. Bender cuts off Farnsworth's hand. A blast kills a dog. Bender kills Fry. Robot Santa tries to kill the crew. A ship falls on Zoidberg.
  • Sex:

The crew visits a nude beach planet, though nothing untoward is visible. An alien's genitalia is on his head. The alien uses Fry's penis to sign for delivery. Hermes' wife leaves him for another man and makes out with him. Some sexual innuendo (when Hermes' head is sewn on backwards, an alien remarks, "Your tail is wagging."). Leela and Lars kiss. Fry discovers his girlfriend in bed and making out with another man.
  • Language:

Some swearing, including "ass," "hell," and "damn."
  • Consumerism:

    Fox Broadcasting is referred to.
  • Drinking, drugs, & smoking:

    Bender drinks beer.

What Parents Need to Know

About Futurama: Bender's Big Score

Parents need to know that this DVD offshoot of the Futurama animated TV show is raunchier and more violent than the show (which we rate Pause and 13+). There is more sexual content (visiting a nude beach planet, aliens with penises on their heads and other penis gags) and violent moments (bodies are ground up, hands and heads are cut off).

    Almost better than the show!

If you like Futurama then this is the movie for you. Well now that I think about even if you dont know what Futurama IS then you'll like this! There is mild sexual content (the crew visits a nude beach planet) and there is some mild language (nothing a 10 year old hasn't heard.) So if your looking for a good animated comedy for 12+ then look no further!

    Futurama OK for some

This is one of the best movies I've seen in my life. It has some crude humor, but It's OK for viewers 10+. It has a great story, and it's really funny. The episodes before it were great, and i'm really looking forward to the three sequel movies airing on Comedy Central. Great Show!

I laughed so hard, I almost suffocated

This is so funny. The storyline is so great. The main issue is social behavior (Bender sent to steal all the treasures and kill Fry) and language. I saw a bit on TV; but I rented it to see it all. Im glad I did. They shouldent have taken it off of cartoon network.

Good but not as funny as the shows.

Futurama: Benders Big Score is a spin off the animated show Futurama. The movie is good enough to keep people who watch it entertained. There are problems with the content of this movie - however - none that serious - the crew go to a nude beach but nothing is visable - there is some comic and non-graphic body mutilation. There is mild language which may be offensive to sensetive viewers. Recommended for persons 10+ Coolchris330,
