What Parents Need to Know

About Meet the Fockers

Parents need to know that there is a lot of R-level humor in this movie. Greg's mother is a sex therapist specializing in the elderly, and the film includes a lot of explicit conversation about sexual matters, almost entirely played as humorous, including references to masturbation, orgasm, premarital pregnancy, and sex games. There is some very brief nudity. Jack wears a prothetic breast so he can "nurse" his grandchild. There is a lot of purportedly humorous stereotyping of both Jews (loud, effusive, insensitive, and inclined to violate everyone's privacy), Hispanics (warm and sexual), and WASPs (cold and repressed and inclined to too much privacy). Characters use strong language (a baby's repeated use of a common insult is supposed to be funny). There is frequent social drinking and comic violence, including forced injection with sodium pentathol and use of a stun gun.

    OMG

i thought that this was a hilarious movie, and I loved it. The first time I saw it was when I was 8 years old, and I didn't really understand it. But it stupid to say it is inappropriate for kids under 16!!!! Maybe more like 10 or 11.

great movie that kept my laughing, but definitly inappropiate for kids who arn't 14+ -- most of it would probably just go over they're heads

    Meet the Fockers

Good but too many sexual jokes, not for kids under 13.

    more sexual content than first..

I was expecting a real sequel to the first movie, but it seems that they resorted to insane amounts of sexual humor for this movie. It went from a family movie, to an adult sexual comedy.. I wouldn't go see this with my family

    Cheap Laughs...

Although it was funny, the writers went for cheap laughs by making common and often quick sexual jokes, and strong language. Definitely not for kids. The first one was funnier.

    Not For Kids

This movie is definately under rated! My spouse and I both agree that this movie is not kid appropriate. It is full of explicit, sexual, adult, crude humor and situations. Parents should watch the movie first and then decide whether their children should watch it or not.

    Shocked by the content

Although some people might think it is funny, i was too shocked by the sexual dialoge to actaully laugh.

    not for children

Back when I was a child; I'm 36, this movie would have been rated 'R.' It's amazing how our society has become so accepting of movies with so much sexual content. There is a lot of adult sexual humor and adult situations.
