What Parents Need to Know
About Sesame Street: Ready for School!
Parents need to know that this DVD is a perfect way to let young children entering preschool or kindergarten know what to expect. Elmo is enthusiastic about his chance to go to school one day, but other characters talk about feeling lonely or scared on their own first days, and how they got through it. The quick pacing and cheerful songs keep the mood light and easy.

Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about what kids are expecting when they go to school. What do they think they'll like the most? What worries or concerns do they have, or, as a parent, what do you remember worrying about on your first day? Families might play school like Mr. Alan does with Elmo, letting kids decide which activities to do.
