I really enjoyed this film a lot. It had action, suspense, tense moments. I love it. It has some strong violence( but nothing graphic) and some language issues, but for an R rated movie, neither the language nor violence is over the top. This is probably one of the tamest R's I've seen, but some teens, probably shouldn't see it yet. 15 seems about the right age.
I like this movie. I rated it for violence because there is a lot of gun points on hostages. I rated it for language because someone dous say the F- Bomb.
R-rating is questionable: Excellent Movie for Teens and Adults!
As old as this movie is, it is my new favorite! There is a lot of gory violence, so I would definitely not recommend it for sensitive teens. It is very suspenseful, even after you've already seen it several times. Harrison Ford is a wonderful actor and a great role model as President. If all Presidents had that much courage, our country would be very grateful. I think although this storyline is very unlikely to occur, it does reflect some of the issues in our world today, which is what makes it entertaining. Obviously, I would not recommend terrorists as great role models, but I must mention that Gary Oldman does an amazing Russian accent. There is also a lot of strong language, but overall I do not think this should be rated R.
Air Force One is a very good movie for the action genre. The acting is well done and the premise holds up and it kept me interested throughout the film. 80's action movie fans will be pleasantly surprised and entertained. Parents should know that Air Force One is a soft-R. The language is that of a strong PG-13 (a couple of s**ts, 1 f**k, and other lesser words) and there is no sex, not even innuendo, in this film. The action is mostly gun violence aboard a plane, with bloody shoot outs, executions, betrayals, and a neck-snapping. The action is some-what strong, but not over-the-top, or extreme. If a parent is concerned about their kid watching this film, I suggest they watch it with them. Both you and your kid will have a fun time.
This is an outstanding movie! It is about Harrison ford as president. He is on air force one and this group of strangers get on the plane. They grab the guns and shoot lots of people on the plane. The president's assistant tells him to get on the pod to safety. Meanwhile, the group that survived inluding Ford's wife and daughter wait there. The bad people threaten that if the US doesn't pay their price then they will shoot someone every half hour. This is a very violent movie. They use the d word lots and the f word once or twice. Great for older kids but not for 8 and under. There is a sad part where they shoot the close friend of Ford's wife and daughter after she begs for mercy.

Good movie for mature kids.
My main concern is the language. One f**k and another f**king. Some blood. The president hits a guy with a chair, shoots a guy, and so on. There is also more swearing.
i love this movie but this movie contains things that kids or some adolescents should not see especially the violence and some bad words like they say the f word 2 times (gary oldman) when he says "get the f**k in the air" and "stop with your f***kin lies" (to harrison ford)
Air Force One is a suspenseful and exciting movie about the president's plane being hijacked. There is constant violence and blood shed but nothing gory but the terrorists do "execute" unarmed people on and off screen. The language in Air Force One is surprisingly tame for a R-rated movie with only one use of the f-word a couple uses of s*** and a few lesser profanities like d***, h***, and b****. Overall Air Force One is a great action movie perfect for older teens.
I really liked this movie, and Harrison Ford did a great job as always.
The role models are all positive (except of course, the terrorist) And the story has a good ending.
But, I must warn everyone, that although this is an old R rating, it is mainly for the violence. People are shot down in the beginning and blood is seen spurting out onto shirts.
But really, the worst parts are when every half an hour, the terrorist keeps his promise and executes one hostage by shooting them in the head. This happens to a women once, and is very hard to watch or listen too.
But, there are good role models portrayed by the President and Vice President as he makes hard decisions and stands for his Country and his Family.
This is a great movie, just be careful of the violence and the Language.
I'm thirteen myself and I have to say this movie was a bit inappropriate for me it contains pretty brutal cold blooded killing and also a scene where the main terrorist (Gary Oldman) cruelly kills a woman to make the president do something rash and reveal himself. The only swearing I really paid any attention to was the president frequently saying goddamn.
This movie was amazing!!!!! I love this movie. But parents with kids What I think if u have boys that are 10 and up it is a good movie for them It's an action movie. Let boys be boys.
To start, I really like the opening scene, it doesn't slowly draw into the plot, it starts with people getting shot, and as a guy, that's what I like. Then we see Marshall (Ford) transform into the President, and from that point on, the movie blossoms. The "F" word is used twice, and there are quite a few other words that as a Christian I don't appreciate, but the movie as a whole is good.
Great movie! The R rating is pretty much for the violence. The violence is pretty iffy for a R movie. A little more and it probaly would've been rated NC-17. Language is quite mild. Couple uses of s--t, one use of f--k, and son of a b---h. Go besides that and it's a great movie.
