Lots of sexual dancing in this movie such as when Joey pushes himself into Mary then she sexually rolls back her body and lifts her leg.Mary and Joey pull into eachother several times and every time Mary spreads her legs.Mary drags herself under Joey's legs then he grabs her waist as she hops onto his body by wrapping one leg around him and lifting the other over his shoulder as he looks up her dress.Mary then spreads her legs and Joey picks her up and places her on his hips.Mary's dress flys up several times during her dance with Joey.In that same scene a girl calls Mary a'tramp'.In a dance competiton between Mary and Joey Mary seduces Joey by repeating the leg lift move and rolling her body while leaning on Joey then proceeds to make out with him on stage.Mary lets Joey into her room alone and she pulls his head toward her lips as she lays on her bed and he leans over her.Joey's girlfriend tries to seduce him as Mary watches through the mirror. While trying to learn the dance moves Mary shakes her hips and rubs herself constantly.Lots of girls try to kiss and hook up with Joey and sometiems even throw themselves at him.One girl even proceeds to break into his house and try to kiss him in his bed(she also kissed him in the hall in an earlier scene and told him how 'hot' he was).He tells her to leave but Mary sees the whole thing and confronts him later.Mary and Joey flirt and Mary gives Joey 'sexy eyes' often. The language isn't too bad but i wouldn't want little girls using it.There is very catty behavior by girls who do horrble things to eachother.Brit throws a water bottle at Mary and throws small objects on the dance floor as Mary twirls and and slips and crashes. The talent is off especially singing

e.g. Perfect for older kids, but not for tweens

I love Selena Gomez and think she is a talented and beautiful young actress. My eight year old daughter loves her and wanted to watch the movie. Thinking it was just like Princess Protection Program, I thought nothing of it. I was SHOCKED to see the steamy dance moves and bedroom scene. This was a Disney movie?

I rented this movie for my 9 yo daughter and her friend. Between myself and the other adults, we were shocked that this was only rated PG. Turned it off after 10 minutes.

For a tween movie, it was perfectly fine. The current spin on the classic tale was interesting to see, even though it's been done before. It had nothing that the kids wouldn't expect a senior in high school to be doing...kissing boys, etc. The problem lies with the younger set - my 7 year old wanted to see it because it was Selena Gomez, and my older daughter was watching it. My 11 year old loved it...the music and the dancing especially. Of course I wish there were no kissing, or foul language, or sexy dancing. But is that realistic for a high school movie? High School Muscial did it, but for Disney to do the same thing in this might be too much to hope for. Like anything, if accompanied by a open conversation about your concerns and your family's value systems, it's fine.

    MADE FOR TWEENS AND TEENS

Ading disney stars to the story made it very good. And It made tweens and teens like the classic story.

Cute movie with a nice message. Nothing that I would think is bad, unless you don't want your kid seeing a scantily clad girlfriend trying to get his celebrity boyfriend back.

This movie did have some bad role models, yet it also had some very good ones. This shows kids that even if you do not have the support follow your dreams!

I didn't think this movie had positive messages. Dominique,The Twins and Natasha (a girl who vows to get attention from Joey Parker the wrong way)are selfish, attention craving brats.Dominique is just stupid i don't htink she's funny at all and The Twins are horrible Brit throws a water bottle at Mary, shows an embarrassing video of Mary at a house party and dumps bowls of food on the dance floor which Mary slips on and crashes on her butt.Natasha is a horrible role model. It's like she knows Joey likes Mary so she goes out of her way to be with him.She kisses him in the hallway with Mary standing right there,She dances sexually(she holds on to Joey then slides down)and it was gross to see she even breaks into his house and sits on his bed and Mary sees.I think Mary does the same the thing to Joey too. She looks at him in a weird way like 'come and get me' type. When they dance she wraps one leg around him then lifts the other one over his shoulder twice. No one is that talented either i mean their good dancers but no one can sing or act

    good movie for all

this movie was actually good. the songs were cacthy but dance moves weren't so special. the story line typical but the movie was actually funny. finally a disney movie that both kids and adults can enjoy. kids will like it for the music and because it features the normal overrated disney stars but the jokes and funny parts of the film are meant for teens and young adults

A good movie for girls of all ages.

This film is maybe even better than A Cinderella Story, it is really good. There is nothing that would have `scarred` me as a child, even if I had seen it as a toddler, so it is perfectly harmless.

    Funny and Appropriate

I loved this movie and it was definitely age appropriate. One thing was that a girl said 'freakin'' ,like, five times in a row. I don't really worry about consumerism, but it was a rich family and there was modern, flip laptops, big houses, flat screen tvs, the works. The twins were kind of bad role models and so was the girl who liked Drew Seeley but couldn't steal his heart. It's mainly appropriate as long as kids don't get carried away with materialistic things.

I've seen this two times and Another Cinderella Story is a funny, up beat movie. I would reccomend it for everyone who likes to dance, and loves fairy tales. Everyone I know who has seen this movie said it was great.

    Good For 8 and Up

I think ages 8 and up can watch this movie. It does follow the story of Cinderella but just in a different way. The only concerns are there is some bad behavior, such as: shaking of the hips too much and just flirty talk. Also, Selena's step mom is a little excessive in buying everything she likes or sees. Overeall it's a pretty good movie!
