This is a funny movie that teaches you anything can happen

This is a great family comedy without the Adam Sandler crudeness and profanity.This is a mild Sandler comedy which is very rare.So, I recommend you rent this movie to watch with the family.

As long your child is mature...My only concern is ones that are first grade and under are stupid and they think doing the bad stuff are cool and going to be in jail by Cops, Criminals, and Robbers and this is definitley not PG! It should be PG-13 to R. Tell Mom and Dad which parts were appropriate for anywhere and I'll rate it Iffy for anywhere 8-18+. Should be Third Grade and over...too Questionable for a Second Grade.

i saw this thinking it would be bad, but i really enjoyed it. not much innaproprite things, except some gross humor. 10+ because kids under will get bored

Bedtime Stories is a really nice family movie! It uses lots of imagination that kids can relate to such as raining gumballs, aliens, and more. It does have some flirting in it and if you believe that's a little over the top for your child, just speak to him/her about it, or you can always fast forward it. As someone else did say, Adam Sandler is better at comedies for pre-teens and older. But this family movie is pretty good if you can let yourself go and remember how you used to be when you were a kid.

As I had noted in previous reviews of Sandler films, I used to not want to like him, but gave in to his genuine charm and likable nature which translates well on screen. That being said, this film is only "fair" with a bit too much of those adult themed jokes to be quite for young kids and too much for kids to be for adults who don't embrace their "childlike" side. It starts out with a feeling kind of like "The Princess Bride," in the "storytelling," but it moves into a rather tepid tale about the power of dreams and believing. Sandler plays his usual lovable, misunderstood character whose heart is always in the right place. You've seen it before and now, if you watch this, you will see it with Sandler and a PG rating. A cute watch. I wouldn't recommend it for kids under 7 or 8 frankly if not older. Some nice zingers, some pretty faces and some nice sight gags earns this little more than a three-star review...we will see about the sequel.

I was very upset to see that this movie had women dressed inappropriately - in bikinis - and the language was often crass. I feel that Disney is showing that what they really care about are catering to a large audience so that they can bring in more money. The concern to create movies that can be modest, clean, and funny at the same time is not as important to them as making a blockbuster movie that all ages will view. The concept of this movie could have been so magical and did not need extra "grown up" components in order for it to be interesting, entertaining, creative, and kid-friendly.

Ha HA! Funny movie! nothing wrong with it appropriate for kids over 5 so the kids understand what they are saying... the mom is like a health freak...
