I liked this movie when i saw it in the movies but if you have younger kids who like winnie the pooh Do not let them see this movie as pooh gets shot (Traquilized) and i may take a bit to explain that the gun makes it have sweet dreams! but other than that is a good movie
(Bee Movie) is a movie that is both silly and fun. This animation is pretty good, but the problem in this Dreamworks Animation children film is that it's just too silly, kiddie and predictable.Bee Movie can be funny in some parts, and it's animation is pretty good, but it's just not one of the greatest Dreamworks Animation films I've seen. There are some parts in the movie that younger children ages 6 - 7 won' t understand plus there may be some scenes that could possibly be upsetting for them. Bee Movie is on DVD today, and I do recommend seeing it on DVD (today).
Why do people always have to point out little inaccurasies with EVERYTHING?
They're talking bees! It's a comedy!
Stop reading into things too much and relax your over-worked, under-used brains.
Anyway, I thought it was actually pretty funny. Renee really did this voice acting well and the quick script really helped the delivery of most of the jokes.
I don't know why people are saying it was too slow. If you want an adventure film that's safe to take your itsy bitsy over-protected children to... You're pretty much screwed. xD
I like it, it was interesting. But there are a lot of things I'd like to note. Violence: People are constantly trying to kill Barry, but thats not something that would scar a child, one scene had a consentration camp like refrence, mean beekeepers laughing and calling the bees names (unrealistic) forcing bees to work and smoking them down. Sex: Lots of that. Vannessa and Barry 'fall in love' (Very Unrealistic) Barry had a flirty daydream about her and him (nothing sexy) his grandpa was saying about a date with a cricket 'those crazy legs kept me up all night' and a lawyer asks Barry if him and Vanessa were 'bed bugs' and his friend said him and Vanessa 'make-out' Smoking: Adults outside smoking, but they said bees don't smoke. Stupid Stuff: Vanessa and Barry slap eachother screaming "You snap out of it!" voice acting isn't very good, Barry's voice sounds sore.
It was okay, but no very memorable. There are a few funny scenes, but not many. There's also some violence, but it's mild. I find it hard to really get into these Dreamworks films (with the expectation of Shrek).
TOTALLY unrealistic (Human and honeybee falling in love? Seriously?) and not many laughs. It seemed as if Dreamworks was trying TOO hard to market it rather than actually making the movie. I prefer either the 1st Shrek or How to Train Your Dragon...
This was a creative movie for the life of a bee. It also shows the fact that we need each other to survive. Definitely see this movie because if you see a trailer for a movie coming out 2 years before hand, you can bet that this will be a good movie.
Not very funny. The title is the funniest thing about the movie. Too much romance and flirtation between the bee and the woman, uncalled for. Also, very slow, movie seemed to drag on and on. I love Seinfeld and was disappointed.
Took my 6 year old daughter to see the movie and we left after 15 minutes. She has not seen many movies so the whole experience is someewhat new to her but the early scenes where Barry gets caught in the rain, swatted at, sucked through a car engine, etc. , were too much for her. I suspect that the (overly) loud soundtrack in the theater did not help. I also agree with a previous review that highlighted the difficulties with trailers. Often edited to "excite" they end up being much more intense and, personally, I was not prepared for "PG" level trailers.
I understand that my daughter may be a little "movie sensitive" but wanted to air a note of concren if others read the inital review of "sweet and easy" suggested by the CS reviewer.
