This was a pretty good movie. But there is a ton of language and some drinking scenes. It will scare you. Which isn't a bad thing.

What Parents Need to Know
This review of The Blair Witch Project was written by Nell Minow
Parents need to know that tolerance for scariness is highly individual, and, especially for teens and younger kids, highly suggestible. In concrete terms, there's nothing really scary in this movie, and parents who don't object to profanity should not have a problem with allowing a kid who really wants to see it to give it a try. They should make sure that those who do see it know -- promotional tricks to the contrary -- that it is entirely manufactured and fictional.
Families Can Talk About

Is It Any Good?
Teenagers have always loved scary movies. On one level, they provide peer bonding -- you have to be friends with someone you grabbed in a moment of terror and it is fun have that shared experience. On another level, there is something cathartic for teenagers about seeing this graphic representation of an uncontrollable id on the loose. It is important for parents to remember that tolerance for scariness is highly individual, and, especially for teens and younger kids, highly suggestible. In concrete terms, there is nothing really scary in this movie, but kids who see it need to be capable of getting that it is entirely manufactured and fictional.

Horror Classic
This is what a horror movie's all about: scaring you. The Blair Witch project is truly a creepy movie. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, and I left with a sense of dread afterwards. It's all about what you don't see. The "Blair Witch" leaves some clues about herself, but she is all up to your imagination. I have watched this movie 76 times. I am not joking. I am completely serious. I loved it that much. I can practically mouth the words whenever I see it.... anyway, I recommend it for any horror fan. Oh yeah, younguns should look out for swearing; every other word is a swear. That's the only reason that the movie is rated R. (Psst, don't see the sequel).

The Blair Witch Project
I can never really explain why the low-budget horror films always deliver the most scares. But hey, whatever works, works.

Know your child...
I really enjoyed this movie. My friends consider me a bit of a "horror movie buff" and this was definitely one of the better movies I've seen in a while. But, while this movie did get your spine tingling at times, it surely was not a whos-hiding-behind-the-closet kind of movie. If you're looking for a movie like that, go see The Grudge. However, if you want to see another just like this classic, go see Paranormal Activity or Cloverfield.

not for kids
its ok but little kids shouldnt watch it and that means dont let the older brother or sister watch it if their babysitting or something cuz the kids tend to sneak out and watch them
