Dead Silence is a very eerie and scary film which is themed on the grisly murders of people who have their tongues graphically ripped out by a vengeful spirit known as Mary Shaw. A widower named Jamie recently loses his wife and then goes up to people who might know about the once famed ventriloquist Mary Shaw and learn her dark past. In the early 1900's, Mary and her ventriloquist dummy named Billy used to perform in a theatre with a large audience, which suddenly one boy notices her mouth moving, and he ruins her image. She exacts revenge and turns the boy into a human like doll; this can be very creepy and disturbing. Police find her and they torture her until she starts to scream, and then her tongue is cut off. She is then buried with her doll collection. Then, throughout the movie, you'll see very scary yet grisly pictures of adults and children whom has been murdered, by having their tongues ripped out, and their pupils are like a ghostly white. Then, later in the movie, you'll know that Mary Shaw is getting revenge by turning her human victims into a human ventriloquist dummy, whom in their backs show no organs and bones, only a wooden device that's able to make their limbs and mouths move; this is very creepy and disturbing. I would recommend this movie for teens who are big horror fans, and not for younger, sensitive viewers because the horrific images of dummies and the grisly murders will give them nightmares!
