Jim Henson's sweet Christmas story has a messsage of family, but at the same time Ma and Emmet often reminsice of Emmet's deceased father. These scenes may confuse young children, but it's also a good time to discuss death while watching this special. All in all a Christmas special you have nearly nothing to worry about. Excellent songs, and great characters!
