clean fun: boomer humor too
If you grew up with cosby or the cartoon series, then you'll love parts of it that will go over the kids' heads. My 6 year old loved it. we'll buy the dVD.

Funny
There are some funny parts but mostly it is a for ages 6-11. My 10 year old brother loves it.

I say fi ve and up. This has great messages and role models. But that dude uses yo and whats up a little too much. Fat Albert is great. I have the movie and have watched it at least 12 times. HEY HEY HEY!

This was a GREAT movie!
I wasn't to sure about this movie, I thought it was going to be corny but it was really-really good. My daughter who is 6 enjoyed it and my mom was is 60 enjoyed it! My mother and I knew the characters and even though my daughter didn't she still liked it. You don't need to know them to like them. I will buy this. Great Fun Movie!

Hey Hey Hey This Movie was A OK!
The move was very good and exciting. I went to see it with my aunt and cousins aged 7 to 12. We all liked it. I don't think younger than 7 year old kids would really understand the movie. Words like "Yo" and "Wuz-up?" were used a little too much.

Innocent and not totally unforgetable
The Fat Albert character is played well by SNL vet Kenan Thompson. It's not neccessarily disposable because kids will remember Thompson's humurous preformance.

Cute
Took my almost 13 and my 7 year old to see it. The oldest thought it was ok and admitted to tearing up towards the end. My 7 year old liked it! I did have to explain the jumping back and forth between the tv and the "real" world. But would recommend it to a family looking for a movie to see together. But only see it at a cheap matinee, not when it is full price!

Good family film
I thought it was a bit slow, a bit boring, and poorly acted. BUT, it was a cute story line that the kids enjoyed. They add in a little of the old cartoon, so even the little ones were entertained. It has a nice theme that encourages kids to do their best. I wouldn't pay full price to see it--go to the matinee!

You're Kidding, Right?
I can not believe Bill Cosby would put his name anywhere near this film. The old cartoons were wonderful, this is nothing but a "moneygrab."

hilarious! i luved this movie i watched it with my friend the first time and we could not stop laughing we were cracking up the whole movie! i think everyone should see this there is nothing inappropriate in it at all! the most inappropriate thing is kissing but that is not a big deal that is like in every movie!

REAL REVIEW NOT A HATE REVIEW
This is a cute, funny movie that has such a great message. There is no language, innapropriateness, or violence at all and it is a very funny movie. It also is a great story, a girl (Kyla Pratt) who discovers confidence and a great friend, Faaaaaat Albert.
