    fun for whole family

We were a little hesitant taking our then 4 year old to the movies to see this one, but after seeing reviews we were glad we went. It was the best of the 3 movies. There's more romance, but nothing inappropriate. We were glad to see it in the movies and bought the DVD the day it came out.

Why does Disney have to make these girls dress so trampy? I definitely don't want my 8 year old to aspire to look like Sharpay? Even the sweet innocent girls, like Gabriella are showing way too much skin. If they would have put this into consideration, this would have been a perfectly lovely movie.

Not so good, but not bad...

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, though released in theaters, is really at heart a TV movie. Thus, it is very, very easy to poke numerous holes in every scene. This movie has tons of roll-your-eye moments, tons of I-can't-believe-they're-actually-going-to-do-this moments, and lots of moments where you want to fast forward. That said, if you look past those moments, it is a sweet kids movie that has a good goal. There's some decent music and a few charming scenes, though a lot feels very contrived. There's nothing to be concerned about, but this movie is just a piece in Disney's huge HSM marketing scheme.

    A Safe Win

High School Musical 3 is the end of the trilogy. It's cheesy just like the previous 2 except Disney clearly spent way too much money on set design. The plot is a serious stretch, but it's generally wholesome.

    Loved It!

The movie was good fun. The kids burst into spontaneous dance at several points and the audience broke into applause, as though it was a real musical, after several numbers– including a partial standing ovation at the end. The movie held my six year old and her friends’ attention from beginning to end. A little more mature and romance-centric than previous HSMs but, still, pretty safe. There’s only one kiss and, like the earlier chapters, the romance is pretty innocent. As a dad with two little girls (and a third “unknown”) on the way, I kind of welcome conversations, even at this age, about relationships and, unexpectedly, HSM has been a nice gateway to that. Maybe not every dad relishes the idea of talking about relationships with their daughters but my thinking is kids develop their list of things Too Yucky to Talk to Dad About early on and they learn it from us. If we’re too squeamish to talk about something, they’ll catch on to that. But, I’m rambling... [Excerpt from an earlier review. You can read the full review at www.kidkong.com]

Best of the 3, but beware of...

this was the best of the 3. the dancing was great, the music was appropriate. the storyline also tied all three the movies together. my one issue is, well, frankly the young women were often dressed like hookers with the short skirts and the boots.

Good Movie - but this needs to be the end!

HSM 3 was really good - better than the 2nd but not as good as the 1st! The dances & music were great. My daughter really enjoyed it also. I think though this needs to be the end, hopefully they won't make College Musical. The kids are getting too old...just my opinion though. :-)

    No Concerns. Really Good Movie.

I loved this movie. It was a lot better than my mom expected, too. It had a really good friendship message and has really good role models in the leads. Nothing bad. It is not the best in the series, no, but it's still very good.

This movie really did not have any bad stuff in it. It was pretty much just about the kids growing up and dealing with there future of what to do with collage and all that stuff. It was pretty dull. Very dramatic. Honestly I really don't think any older kids would like it.

This movie is just like the first and second one. it is going to be just as you expect it to be. some of the part are good and some are really stupid. this is one of those movies that you just have to see because everyone will talk about it. over all i think it is a good movie and if you liked the first two then you will deffinatly like the 3rd.

    Boring Movie

I didn't even get through 1/4 of it, because it bored me to sleep. Too corny and silly! It's all so innocent and lame. You'd be better off watching the 1st one.

    Surprised

I was very surprised when I watched this. I'm not an HSM fan, and I'm really annoyed with all of the merch and stuff everywhere, but curiosity always gets the better of me, and I have to see which of the three is best. And I was surprised to see how good this was. Not, "Oh my goodness, I want to watch it again NOW" good, but bearable, and not bad. The music was enjoyable, and the dances were MUCH better, and even though it's a predictable show, what do you expect? It's Disney. Only thing inappropriate is "gosh" is said a couple times, and Chad says "So I can kick your butt?"

    "A kinda great movie"

This is a great movie for at least above the age of 4. It has some kissing but a great story line. Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens) and Troy (Efron) have a great bond and awesome on-screen chemistry!!

    Not Predictable

I saw the movie and out of all 3, it was the best. 0-10 rating, first one-7, second one-3, third one-8 or 9. And most of the songs on this one are totally addicting, and way better. I think they should make another sequil.(Sorry about spelling)
