Perfect for the older crowd.
This movie was right on awosome. It was super violent with tons of mercilious killing, but the story line was right on. WARNING!! language issues.

Great for mature people! :)
Okay, honestly, the cussing wasn't THAT bad. They probably didn't cuss anymore than what the people in The Breakfast Club did. The violence might disturb some viewers, but I think this movie is definitley worth watching!

Good.
Pretty entertaining, but the first half an hour is extremely boring.

Great Movie- But 14+ ONLY
Great Movie, hands down one of the best i've seen this year. Not to much action so the violence is not over the top. Tarantino's most "tame" movie, language is not at all what I came to expect, not to much of it which is nice, the sexually comedic "effect" scene is totally unnessesary.. You would even see it coming.. Not even part of the movie, Overall I would give this a 5/5, 9/10, a must see for anyone 14+

Great, but violent.
Not going to lie, its violent. It honestly depends on you child's maturity level. If necessary, you can just have them turn away. There is also a brief, 2 second sex scene. It wont be block-able, because it honestly comes out of no where (once again, depends on child's maturity level). Its a really funny, good movie. It can also inspire some discussions about history, and right/wrong. It has a brilliant cast and script,.. I can reccomend it highly enough, for the right child

Masterpiece!
Inglourious Basterds earns its R-rating many times over. Even some teenagers will likely be upset/terrified by some of the brutal violence. That being said, this movie is genius. I was enthralled the entire running time, and my mind was blown by the brilliant dialogue, fascinating characters, and wildly thrilling plot. I disagree with CommonSense that it is only for adults - mature, slightly older teens can definitely watch this movie.

Inglourious Basterds was, to put it simply, one of the best WWII movies ever made. You could put it up there with Saving Private Ryan and Schindler's List. But unlike those, which are both (mostly) historically accurate and dead serious war films, Inglourious Basterds is a very typical Tarantino film with a WWII plot. That does not mean that it's not a good war film. Like some of Tarantino's earlier work, the film is split into several "chapters" that at first are seperate, but the two different assassination plots by two different people (and their cohorts) intertwine in the end. As far as content goes...it's typical Tarantino. This film is thick with gunfights, scalpings, stabbings, beatings, scenes of strangling, and more, including a scene of torture. Blood and gore are very, very frequent; this is Tarantino, after all. However, it's certainly not as violent as Kill Bill or Reservoir Dogs. Language is pretty strong, with quite a few f-bombs (though not as many as Reservoir Dogs), as well as milder stuff. There's also a very brief scene of someone having sex with his mistress; while somewhat graphic, there's no nudity, and the scene's intended to be funny. There's also a lot of (period-accurate) smoking and drinking, and Aldo uses snuff. Overall, if your teen's over 14 and is a fan of Tarantino's work, he/she's fine. If they haven't seen any Tarantino film, I would have to raise the age recommendation to 16 and up.

Yeah.

Great movie, know your teen.
Great movie, but very violent. It's great for adults, and if your teenager is mature enough to appriciate the amazing dialouge that goes with the violence, then it is a movie worth letting them view. There is a lot of foul language, but that's not uncommon in the real world either.

Too violent, too talkative... too bad
I was really looking forward to this movie. Unfortunately, there's a difference between this and Pulp Fiction: Pulp Fiction's dialogue was interesting. But that's just me. Brad Pitt was fabulous, and the story was original. The violence was stylish and well-directed, and some dialogue scenes were worthy. But, for the love of God, does a dialogue scene have to go on for twenty minutes?! Make that two scenes?! I don't think so. Parents: There's not a lot of violence here, but the violent scenes that are here are extremely, shockingly graphic, including scalping, slicing, and shooting. There's also an extremely brief sex scene and strong language. Bottom Line: If you're a fan of Tarantino, then see it, and judge for yourself. Otherwise, stick with Pulp Fiction. very good movie
its a good action movie lots of violence 15 and over for violence don't let your kids see this

Amazing film but watch out for violence
This is an excellent movie, but contains and immense amount of bloody, graphic violence. It would take a mature teenager to appreciate the excellent cinematography and script in Inglourious Basterds. There is also strong language and a brief sex scene. But the movie is still a masterpiece, with an excellent cast and a perfect blend of humour and suspense.

war movie with intricate twist
war intricate twists hidden humor brad pitt? how could this possibly be a good movie. watch it and then you tell me an all star cast light up this movie with all sorts of entertainment.

Good for adults and mature older teens
I love this movie. I am 18, and I think this movie is fine to watch as long as you are 16 or older. I wouldn't want most kids younger than that viewing this. It is very violent and uses extensive expletives. It also depends on the kid. A few 15 year olds could watch this and not be disturbed, but there are some 17 or 18 year olds that would find it offensive. It really depends on the maturity and sensitivity of the kid.
