Interesting idea for a movie, but missed the mark
Movie interested us because of the concept of the plot, but left a lot to be desired. It picked up steam as it progressed, but still left us with a "This could of been great" feeling. Kid appropriateness: A lot of violence .... much of it is "over exageratted, James Bond type of violence and most of the deaths occur off-screen. Sexual content: Mostly implied, actual shown content is fairly mild. Profanity: typical of what you might expect in this type of movie. Certainly another issue would be the social implications of lying or living a "secret life," but the execution of the movie almost mocks the believability of the concept of the movie so it seems very mild.

Bombs, Explosions, Action!
I loved this movie. My husband and I kept arguing about who was thinking what and what they'd do next and we were never right! Loved that it kept us guessing. Plenty of action and obvious violence BUT...no one died on camera and the only blood you saw was the main characters own blood from scrapes and injuries. Pitt did a bit of swearing and we skipped over a make out scene but otherwise it was a lot of fun!

Violent, but smart
This is a really fun movie for older teens and adults. QUITE violent due to the storyline (would be impossible to follow this story without violence). There are killings, discussion of killings and lots of explosives involved, but the script is smart and, for adults, entertaining. Not a kids movie by any stretch of the imagination.

Sparks were flying!
Awesome movie! I loved it! Funny, action packed, and fast moving with little twists in the plot to keep you guessing. The violence is intense. I didn't think it was too long at all. And, man, the sparks were flying between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt--definitely an attraction going on there. GREAT MOVIE--for adults! 13 may be a bit on the young side--15/16 would be better.

funny/ entertaining movie for adults
i agree that this is not the best movie to take your kids along for. this would be more appropriate to the teens and above category... but it was very entertaining and having two gorgeous people on screen made it all the more wonderful. more than the plot and the development of the characters, many find entertainment in this movie because of the two leading actors, brad and angelina.

I laughed
I enjoyed this movie. It was very funny. I do think the movie could have been cut in half, it was way to long. I would have liked the movie to have had an R rating so that it could have had more Brad Pitt. ;o) wink wink

fun, but rediculous
I'd have to disagree with dback's review earlier in this list. The kids who see this film are exposed to ridiculous violence - violence without consequence and sometimes even laughed at. Saying that, though, I did think the film is wonderfully entertaining. Adults can (hopefully) see through the silly-ness in how this film deals with violence, relationships and responsibilities and understand the satire in the situations to find the films true message. I'd be afraid that younger people wouldn't understand it correctly. Shooting at their friends with a shotgun, for example, shouldn't be taken so lightly. Though the film was fun, the setting is ridiculous and far fetched, to say the least. I wouldn't take my kids to see this.

- I rate this title iffy for age 14 and give itMy concerns are:
- Inappropriate sexual content
- Inappropriate language
Funny movie with some intense action senes. Not for kids, yet mature teens should be able to handle it reasonably well.

for teens
Okay, yeah, so the movie is all about the spouses trying to kill each other. But I would have to say that it is a pretty cool, action packed, funny movie. But it is not the best role modeling, or message. After all they are trying to kill each other, and they are married!

Great for teens! Mild language and mild sexual content. Great action.
I love this movie. It is funny and action packed. The language is so mild. No uses of f*ck or g**d*mn. Just some mild words such as sh*t, h*ll, d*mn, and p*ss. And a few slang words. The sexual content is not that bad but may turn some away. A few references (non-graphic). and some passionate kissing. Angelina is seen in a bra and panties. She is also seen in some revealing outfits. Nothing graphic. The violence is very low. Just action packed. This movie was very fun and exciting to watch. I loved it.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Once again another bang bang shoot em up movie accompanied by a so-so plot. Seems interesting plot at first but didn't follow through. The constant explosions and killings get pretty repetitive.

Absolutely stupid!
This movie (If you could call it a movie, it's more of a pointless explosion-fest with a hot woman) is a pointless attempt at a remotely good project. The plot was thinner than paper, the humor just did not work out, and the way the two people treated each other was, quite franky, intolerable! An extremely hot woman was in it, so what! The sex in this movie was overdone! I mean, Jessica Alba was in Fantastic 4, but there's no slutty outfis in that! And the scene near the end in the house is more boring than entertaining! Overall, this movie was STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!

Very Entertaining!
Although there's lots of violence, no blood is shown. As long as someone can handle some shooting and lots of the action, they'll love this movie! Don't bring anyone under 13 years old to this movie, though. It's non-stop action!

it was cool
this movie was okay i liked it and the violence was not all that bad. there was a lot of it but it was not all that crucial. it was mostly gun shots that were happening.no heads were flyin off or anything so its pretty cool.

i laughed in my inside(in a good way)
i am 11 years old and i saw mr and mrs smith. I saw it opening day and it was all crowded and people were trying to get seats.thats how i could tell it was going to be good.i liked parts where brad pitt and angeline joleiy were fighting along side with guns. i also liked how they would hide their weapons in places u would never guess.my parents struggles a bitt by taking me to this monvie and when it was over they sort of regreted it. but overall it was good and i liked it.i think u should be atleast 12 or 13+ to see this moveie. parents who have a 11 year old kid(s).it deapends how u feel.if u feel good have a nice night at the movies with your family. if u dont let your kids go to the couch and watch VH1.

AMAZING.
Best movie I have ever seen hands down. I am definently planning on seeing it again in theaters. As for the violence, there was nothing too bad. And as for sex there was nothing too bad there either. Mostly it was just a halarious movie from beginning to end with some cool action that reminded me a little of the matrix. Go see it if you havent!
