As a Chinese-American, I found this movie to be a positive one for our culture and my two girls. They LOVE this movie and watch it at least once a week. It is a typical, Disney movie where the plot involves problem/solution and of course there is an ugly bad guy. But in the end, the heroine prevails. Mulan teaches children that it is okay to follow your heart even if it means going against the grain. She also shows how girls/women can be strong and brave also and that they can be smart and inventive too!

One of the best Disney movies
This was my favourite Disney movie when I was little, and still is. I think it does a fantastic job telling the story, while keeping within the boundaries for the young ones. I remember finding the action in the movie, though moderate, very exciting and enthralling from when I was younger. Fantastic movie for all ages.

A wonderful movie
I found this movie to be just wonderful. My son, whom was 4 at the time he watched this, was just enthralled and loved to watch this movie over and over. I beleive this movie provides a great message; that anyone, whether male or female, can do anything that they put their mind to. As with most animated Disney movies, the animation was just beautiful. This movie also takes a child into a different culture, giving them a little idea of life other than the "American Way". If you are a DVD collector of Disney films, I would highly recommend adding this one to your collection,

Classic
This might be Disney's best girl movie. The dragon, voiced by Eddie Murphy, is FUNNY! Reccomended.

I've loved this movie since I was two years old (it came out in 1998 I believe, and I was born in 1996). Mulan is one of Disney's only heroines, also my first rolemodel as a kid! She still is my rolemodel now. This movie has amazing music, great animation, an interesting plotline that might inspire older viewers to do research on Ancient China and the supposed 'real' Mulan that inspired the poem, which inspired the movie. It has its share of funny moments, too, especially earlier on in the battle scene with the three soldiers. Speaking of which, there are some darker moments in this film, like when Shan Yu gets pinned to a bunch of fireworks (it's implied that he... ehh... explodes), and when Shang finds out of the death of his father. It could get scary for some young viewers, although it was never frightened me. This movie's been out almost eleven years, and I'd be surprised if you haven't managed to see it yet, but if you haven't you should immediately buy it.

Wonderful Classic
I'm fifteen and still love this movie! Disney classics are the best movies out there, I don't care how good digital and 3D gets. Mulan has a little violence, but ABSOLUTELY NOTHING graphic, sexual, or profanity. I recommend this for ages 7+. Very good.

YAY!
I like this movie!! Little bit of violence, no language, good social image (hey there are so many bad role models for girls now, Mulan is one of the only good ones). I really like how Mulan proves herself to be as good as the boys. It's cool :)

Love it!
I thought this was a awsome movie even if its animated. I also liked a song in it called 'How could i make a man out of you'. It's great!

Mulan
Mulan is probably the best Disney movie ever made. It's great to take a break from the damzel-in-distress princess movies where the prince always comes in at the end to save the day. With an exciting plot line, great characters, and unforgettable songs, Mulan is a great choice for kids of any age!
