I'm sorry, I don't know why Commonsense Reviewing decided to rate is two stars, because this movie is educational and entertaining. National Treasure is a great movie with a great plot and good acting. This movie tells kids a lot of cool information about historic figures such as Charles Carrol, Andrew Jackson, and George Washington.

National Treasure is one of my favorite movies. This is NO dumb stunts and explosions movie! There are intelligent puzzles great suspense scenes and solid acting. There is a bit of shooting and violence including two of the main characters being killed in an exploding ship and a villian plunging into a black pit. There is only one piece of language that I heard (d***) and I wouldn't have heard it if it wern't for the subtitles. The heroes steal the Decleration of Independance but only to prevent the bad guys from getting at it. Over all an excellent and intellegent film definately worth checking out!

LOVE THIS MOVIE. My family and I have watched it over and over again. Never get sick of watching it. Great adventures, no bad language YAY! And the kids learn some history while being entertained. What could be better?!

I personally think this movie is good. And I didn't think the jokes were lame; they seemed funny. The main character does steal, but he does it for a good reason. I think the whole family will enjoy it just make sure they're old enough to handle the violence in fact this is jerry bruckhimer's (sorry i mispelled it) least violent movie

Awesome movie. Definitely great for the whole family (parents included!!) Hopefully they will EVENTUALLY come out with a third movie.

Educational value within the many historical references...no worries about ANY romance or nudity, however does contain gunfire, but no deaths that I can recall

I thought that National Treasure was an excellent movie. I had read some pretty harsh reviews, so I was somewhat hesitant to go and see it, but am very glad that I did. I took my 13 year old daughter and 10 year old son, and they both thought that it was great. My 13 year old daughter typically only likes teenie bopper movies, but even she thought that this movie was "really good". It is a great movie to take your family to, although some younger children may be frightened by some of the scenes with skeletons, coffins, etc. in them. Other than that, I would recommend it to everyone! Go see it and enjoy!
