Parents need to know that this frothy comedy will be best appreciated by teens and adults who can put the characters’ sometimes-iffy behavior (robbery, breaking and entering, and destroying personal property, to start with) into perspective. There's also some strong language (including “damn,” “bitch,” and “hell”) and adult drinking, and the dialogue often references rushed wedding plans because of an unexpected pregnancy. Taken out of context, the characters’ actions might give young kids and tweens a misleading impression of the real-life consequnces of breaking the law and manipulating people’s feelings, but for those who appreciate the inherent un-reality of TV, this movie is a laugh-out-loud journey toward a sweet victory for true love.
Positive messages:The movie celebrates true love and friendship by showing the lengths to which Abigail, Parker, and Rachel will go to be with the people they care about. The story also strives to show that good can prevail as long as people are willing to stand up for what’s right.
Positive role models:Abigail and Parker put their reputations (and criminal records) on the line to help a good friend who’s being manipulated. Their methods -- which include stealing, misrepresentation, and destruction of property -- are flawed, but their intentions are good, and their hearts are in the right place. Caitlyn and her mother are driven by money and don’t give a thought to those they hurt in their pursuit, but they get their due in the end.
Sex:Lots of chatter about sex, including references to past relationships and implications of sleeping around for personal gain (a job, a higher grade in class, etc.). A main character is said to be pregnant, which is cause for a loveless relationship and shotgun wedding. A few passionate kisses.
Language:Several uses of “bitch,” “damn,” “hell,” and “ass,” as well as "oh my God” and “shut up.”
Drinking, drugs, & smoking:Adults drink beer, wine, and champagne socially and at meals. In one scene, Caitlyn downs a bottle of champagne to drown her sorrows.

Started watching this thinking it would be age appropriate since it starred "Raven"...definitely had to change the channel! After the third reference to sleeping with someone, I called it quits on this movie. Did not get any further to see what ages it would be for, but definitely not for the 8 year-olds!
