My 3 year old loved this movie. Of course, Dad sat with her and talked her through any iffy parts, explained things and answered any questions she had. As with any movies for young kids, know your child and watch it with them at least the first time.
I liked it, but the part I did not like that robin hood was stealing.
But the the part I did like was that there was a lot of action
and helping. It was good!
The weaponry can be a bad influence on children, so i say:
THE FOLLOWING FILM IS RATED G, Nothing unsuitable for children except some dangerous behaviour and very mild sexual references.
This is a light, humorous movie that is great for kids. There are some things you will want to talk through with your children such as stealing (is it ever OK to steal?) and the implicit threats/violence. Some children will be frightened during the scene where it looks as though Robin Hood has drowned. This is a pretty fuzzy movie and has some scenes that will make your kids guffaw with laughter.
Robin might steal, but you know that the people are basically having the money stolen from them. Prince John does nothing for them, so it's like justic is being served. There's one scene where Prince John orders Robin to be beheaded, but stopped by Little John (who has a knife to his back), and another one where we believe Robin has drowned, but we find out he is completly fine!
