I am eleven and it was an amazing movie. this stupid website brainwashes parents. It had one mild sex scene, it was very violent, and very little language.

okay for older (and jaded) teens
this is a really smart movie because yes, teens are very sophisticated and jaded now, and that sophistication is built into the screenplay...BUT it is so over the top violent that the cleverness and humor was almost an afterthought.

If this wasn't a comedy, then I wouldn't have rated it 15 in here. It's very bloody. 16 year olds can handle it.

A must see for movie geeks.
This is a great movie for movie crazed people, but not ok for kids under 11.

A few scares, especially the first scene, but overall a waste of time. I didn't connect with any of the characters, and didn't feel sorry for them as they got killed off. There are better slasher movies out there- like Psycho and Halloween.

This movie is an awesome, cool, totally outrageous horror flick on the must-see halloween movie list for older kids, but anyone younger than 11 shouldn't see it, 2 year olds will literally, "scream".

I couldn't believe it!
I am 13 and usauly watch the horror movies that come out now. But when I saw Scream I was shocked. I put it as the number 1 horror movie on my list. It was funny, scary, and entertaining. I absolutly loved it. My favorite part was at the end when Gale Weathers says, "I didn't forget the saftey this time...basterd." I laughed so hard at that part.

Comedy and Horror, never fit better together.
Wes Craven is probably the best horror directer to date, Scream is his best peice of work, gory, funny and pretty smart. Makes you think how the film industry turned from this to torture-porn.

Oh what a great slasher movie this is.
Well, actually, I would say more of a satrical slasher but, whatever. This is a great movie, and it's also quite scary, while being funny too. The story is simple, a psycho is killing off a bunch of kids. But these kids know thier movies, and aren't going down as easily as one might think.... The sexual content is so-so, there is a sex refrence, nothing is shown. The language...well, there's probably every single bad word in this movie. And the violence...well, that's a whole different story. There are stabbings, shootings, punching, kicking, ect, ect...the most brutal squence in my opinion is the beginning, where a girl is gutted, hung, and all of her insides were ripped out. I reccomend to anyone 13+, if they can handle the gore.

Great horror movie but not for kids
Scream is a great suspensful murder mystery played by teens, but the sex and language in this went too far. You can't go any scene without hearing the f word. And in a lot of scenes girls would portray wanting to have sex with guys. But all together played a great horror movie, for everyone who wants to have a chill running through them

One of the BEST slasher movies of all time...but I wouldn't call it just a
Slasher. I would also call it a Dark comedy, and also a satire. The movie is very good, with an interesting plot, and great acting. The violence is graphic, example: A girl is gutted, her intestens are ripped out, and she gets hanged on a tree, or, a man's throat is slit up close and personal. The sexual content is "iffy" as Common Sense says, there are HEAVILY implied Sexual themes, but nothing graphic. Language is very graphic, every word you can think of is said...but I recommend it for kids 13 year olds or up.

Great Movie... But Not For Kids
This movie is the best horror film I have ever seen and I saw it with my step mom Nancy. The first scene was scary awesome, but this movie is certainly not for kids.

Scream
This is one of my favorite movies. The story is amazing and the acting is good. The ending is one of the best twists i have ever seen. This movie is for people 15+ who can withstand a horror movie.

whoa!
i luved this movie!' it WAS really good, but almost all of the main character die, except Sidney. the plot is really good and has great twists. it DID deserve it's "R" rating. there was tons of F--k's (8+), damn's(6-ish), bitch's(more than 5), and some others. almost no racicsm. quite a bit of drinking in one scene. the only "commercialism" is that 1 character is obsessed with horror movies and always talks about them. THIS MOVIE IS VERY GORY! thx.

Classic

One of the best modern slasher films
Scream was one of the movies to spoof horror films. Throughout the movie they make several humorous comments about horror films. This, however, does not mean the film isn't scary. It's classic Wes Craven style slashing with a modern feel. One of the things that Scream does very well is keep viewers interested; not only is it a great horror film, it's also a mystery. Unlike films such as Halloween and Friday the 13th, the teens don't know who's stalking them. The movie's delicious blend of humor and horror make it work. Parents should note that the film is very gory and there are several tense scenes. I would not, however, stop anyone over the age of 15 from seeing it. Overall, Scream is a great horror film that's not afraid to make fun of itself.
