Parents need to know that She's Out of My League is like the recent slew of Judd Apatow and Apatow-inspired comedies that are slathered in exceedingly vulgar humor, but also have a sweet, endearing center. The film has little nudity, but because of the frequency and intensity of the language (including near-constant "f--k" and "s--t") and sexual situations (including a scene that revolves around premature ejaculation), it's best for kids and tweens to steer clear. Happily, the movie has a good heart and a good message about learning to believe in yourself regardless of looks, which is perfect for responsible older teens. Young-at-heart parents might enjoy the movie as well, even if most teens won't want to sit next to them.
Positive messages:Believe it or not, among all the vulgar humor, the movie has a solidly positive message about being true to oneself and valuing people based on their character instead of their looks. Though most of the film is spent rating people on their appearance, and giving them 1-to-10 ratings (Molly [Alice Eve] is a "hard ten," while Kirk [Jay Baruchel] is a "five"), Kirk, and all the other characters as well, come to learn that who a person is inside counts for more.
Positive role models:Kirk works toward changing the negative things in his life, and even if he sometimes succumbs to self-pity, he usually lands on his feet. Toward the movie's end, he has given up on his dreams, but his friends do the right thing and help him out. He eventually learns to believe in himself, and honestly earns the love of Molly. Lots of teasing, especially early in the movie.
Violence:The movie has some comic violence, such as a chase through an airport with characters slamming into each other. We also see a hockey puck to the groin, as well as some violence at a hockey game. Other than that, there is some mild scuffling and minor threats.
Sex:This is a highly sex-obsessed movie, with constant references to male and female body parts and lots of sex talk (including references to homosexuality), but hardly any nudity. In one major scene, a girl sits in a boy's lap and grinds away on him while kissing; he ejaculates prematurely (though nothing sensitive is visible), which is then used as the source for several more jokes. Later, the same boy and girl strip down to their underwear, preparing for sex (which does not happen). We see one naked male butt. A man climbs out of a pool wearing white underpants, revealing some of his pubic hair. The lead character shaves his pubic hair (with some help from a friend), and though very little is actually shown, everything is implied.
Language:We have almost constant swearing, with countless uses of the word "f--k" in all its permutations. The movie also contains multiple uses of, but is not limited to: "s--t," "Goddamn it," "my God," "balls," "p---y," "ass," "bitch," "dick," plus insults like "moron" and jargon like "raw-dogging" and "jizzed." We also see the extended middle finger.
Consumerism:An iPhone plays a major part in the two heroes getting together. When the girl gets it back after losing it, her response is something like "You saved my life." The hero drives a Dodge Neon, which is constantly referred to in a joking manner.
Drinking, drugs, & smoking:The characters are all of drinking age, and drink often, but not to overindulgence. Characters drink beer, wine, champagne, and martinis. In one scene, there is a joke about alcoholism. A father asks his son for a beer. The son replies, "Are you sure?" The father replies, "What are you, my sponsor?" In another scene, a nervous, flustered Kirk gulps down a martini, which seems to have little effect on him.

Bad, Steriotypical nonesense!
I really dont like it when people criticize movies and complain but this movie is BAD! There are too many steriotypes to count!! Like in all movies its the "ugly" guy who wants to get the "pretty" girl. I put those in quotes because they're both average looking people and the movie blatantly states that blondes are better by casting the blonde as the pretty one and the brunette as the ugly one. The brunette is obviously better looking but because her hair isn't yellow she's thought of as ugly. Anyone with a brain shouldn't see this movie!
This surprising, underrated comedy had more laughs than I though it would, which is impressive in this time of uncreative new comedies. Most comedies these days rely entirely on grotesquery and raw, graphic sex, and that just doesn't work. This comedy brings us back to a time where comedies used humor not only through raunchiness, but through comical sight gags and clean(er) one-liners. Parents: Despite what i said earlier, there's still plenty of graphic sex-related dialogue and humor, plus language. Bottom Line: Another perfect date night movie, and just a good comedy in general. She's Out of My League is an inappropriate movie that's only for older teens there's really no violence in this film but expect a lot of sex talk one partial nudity scene which show's a male butt and the character's friend helps him shave his bottom part which is very disturbing characters used strong language and they also drink beer, wine, champagne, and martinis.
Some sexual scenes but not to bad. Also there is a guy shaving another guys privates (which are not shown) which is hysterical but not a good thing for children to see. Also there is a positive message, don't judge yourself and don't think you can't get a hot girl friend if your not as hot as her.
i am surprised that this movie turned out to be somehow charming and convincing. This is an unlikely love story that is a really sweet romantic comedy. a very sweet romantic comedy. though the movie has flaws, its very slow at few parts, the story and screenplay kind of freezes at some part of the movie which is freaking annoying and then you see that the story catches speed again and that annoyed me. their were some pretty good laughs in the movie, not much though which was fine considering this was supposed to be a romantic comedy.
the idea of the PERFECT mis match couple was adorable and sweetly charming, lolz, a guy like him and a girl like her coming and going this way really nice. i would say the charming character in this movie was Jay's character and he himself. loved him seriously he is awsome. others were ok not really a performance based movie. cute funny movie. surprisingly good not excellent with some flaws which will effect the rating i am gonna give but for u guys its on you i will Mildly recommend it to you.
