Excellent movie overall, specially for the Superman fans!!
Very nice movie with great graphics and followed very well from the old 2 movies. Brandon Routler looks exactly like the original Superman, and plays the exchange between Superman and Clark Kent quite well. Quite a bit of action and violence, including a plane full of people crashing to earth, but being saved by Superman. A little bit of swearing, but not much sexual issues as Superman was told in the 2nd movie that he cannot be with Lois. Kissing between Lois and her fiancee, but not passionate, mostly brief. It shows positive messages and role model as Superman is always saving the day. Superman persuades Lois not to smoke as its bad for her health.

Superman comes back with a brand new look.
A magnificent comeback for the man of steel. A true classic that is better than most of its predeccessors. (Superman III, Superman IV and Supergirl).

Pretty good movie... except that it was hard to get into without knowing what had happened in the past, and it seemed to end abruptly. A couple of scenes were a little scary, nothing too bad though.

Mediocre Superhero Film That Is Okay for kids 8 and over
This superhero movie was not as good as I expected it too be much better. The contant is acceptable for children 8 and under and should have been rated PG. Not much too worry about, except for a few sequences of violence, and a few minor curse words that wasn't much. Stick with "X-Men: The Last Stand" if you are searching for a superhero film to see, but if you see this it is ok for kids 8 and up.

Superman Returns is age-appropriate, but it's not quite super
Superman is arguably the most popular superhero out there. He saves the day over and over and over again. He is almost impenatrable (despite the fact that he can get killed by kryptonite, more on that later) and a great role model. Unfourtunatley, he isn't given much vibe here, becuase Superman Returns is one boring actionier. Although it is age-appropriate (see exceptions below) it will not appeal to the die-hards at all. In fact, many times it is melodramatic and not fun at all. So this is best left to the open-minded. Content issues are few, but there is a talk about "pleasurable sex with the big hero" and a violent scene that is worth covering the kid's eyes. [spoiler warning] In it, Superman is beaten, battered and stabbed ruthlessly with kryptonite by Lex Luthor, falling to a watery fate (he gets out).

Awesome movie...
Well, where to begin?!?! I love this move and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I even yelled at the screen a few times. It had action, romance, and a bit of mystery. I thought it was great enough to see it again and I might see one more time. If you want a movie that has it all, see this one!

A little long for younger ones...
I took my 6 and 4 year superhero junkies and they liked it (not loved). It was a little long for them because there is a good bit time between action scenes. For the adults, I found it had a good mix of the following: an interesting story, amazing action sequences, and a happy ending. The only scene that was "iffy" was a scene that Lex beats up and stabs Superman several times. No blood is shown but it could be upsetting for a younger child. I found the violence was much worse in the previews before the movie than in the entire Superman movie. I was shocked that a theatre would show previews for "Lady in the Water" and "Ghost Rider" then show a preview for "Ant Bully".
