What’s the Story?

Despite all its positive messages, ALPHABET ROCKERS tries too hard to set itself apart from other children's CDs with an edgy sound that features lots of hip-hop and urban sounds, as well as some DJ-style scratching. Does scratching belong on a CD targeted to preschoolers? And while adult ears might be intrigued by the offer of something different, the captive 2-year-old and 4-year-old might be uninterested after the first song.

If you can get the kids to hear past the rap and reggae that's a tad mature for little ears, the songs are both fun and educational with positive messages.
