What’s the Story?

The star of the Disney Channel's High School Musical and Jump In!, Corbin Bleu delivers a dozen high-energy, danceable pop tunes. The songs in ANOTHER SIDE also carry gently positive messages about being yourself. "I don't worry 'bout tryin' to fit in/long as you're cool we can be friends/I'm a little bit of this and a little bit of that/best of both worlds all over the map" he sings on "Mixed Up." When he's not figuring out what life's all about, Corbin's trying to figure out how to get a pretty girl's attention, with sweetly flirtatious songs like "Homework" and "She Could Be."

Is It Any Good?

If there's a message in this music, it's a gentle one promoting friendship and self-esteem, and not giving up when things get tough: "No words describe a mother's tears/No words can heal a broken heart/A dream is gone, but where there's hope/Put your faith in what you most believe in/Two worlds, one family/Trust your heart/Let fate decide" ("Two Worlds"). Bleu's good-guy sensitivity, adorable good looks, and a generous helping of actual musical talent ensure that he's unlikely to have much trouble getting the girls to notice him, but how does he get into those dance clubs?
