What Parents Need to Know

About Autobiography

Parents need to know that this is the most self-referential album to come along in years. The lyrics are pretty tame, with the exception of an occasional "s--t" or "ass." "La La," the sexiest song on the album, is filled with lusty kink-lite innuendo that will zoom right over the heads of younger kids. Older teens, especially those engaged in their own odysseys of self-absorption, will find a lot to relate to.

I rate this title iffy for age 11 and give it 4.0

    Self-absorbed but overall enjoyable

Sexual Content (Pause): "LaLa" is very racy and in a few cases, explicit. Violence (Not an Issue): None. Language (Pause): "Sh*t", "hell", ass", and "piss" are scattered throughout the album. Social Behavior (Not an Issue): While there are some mildly positive girl-power messages and being yourself is lightly touched upon, Ashlee is very self-absorbent - not a very good role model. Commercialism (Pause): CD insert contains an advertisement for her MTV reality show. Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco (Not an Issue): None.

I rate this title off for age 13 and give it 1.0

    Horrible

Horrible all around. The only reason she has a record deal is because of her sister. She can't sing, they have to edit and auto tune her vocals to make them sound good. Terrible role model and all around poser. Tries to be punk but can't pull if off at all.

Awsome CD for 14 & Up

I think that this is a great CD and it is one of my favorites. It is a little iffy though for preteens and younger teens. The only song that I would stay away from is "Lala".
