What’s the Story?

The BABY BELUGA album includes 10 musicians in addition to Raffi -- and their instruments include everything from guitars, piano, and drums to bones, kazoo, ukulele, and even ocean sounds. Raffi sings in his beautiful folk voice, joined by "The Kids" and the "Honolulu Heartbreakers." Hearing the children's voices will inspire your kids to sing along, while the Heartbreakers may encourage you to chime in. Raffi also comes up with clever ways to teach valuable lessons. In "Biscuits in the Oven," there is a pause in the music right after the words "Gonna take my time when I cross the street."

This is one of Raffi's best albums in terms of the variety and richness of arrangements. Don't be surprised if Baby Beluga moves you and your kids to tears -- especially during the beautiful "All I Really Need."
